Curio.ca offers a wide array of original content in English and French as well as sophisticated tools that allow you to manage and track your group’s viewing experience.

Our tutorials are specially crafted to help you better navigate through the platform while discovering the more complex functionalities available to you.

This Statistics Tutorial presents how to create and configure a memberaccount and how to use the statistics tools available to you.

STATISTICS

The first step is registering and configuring your user profile.

As a new Curio.ca subscriber, your organization provided you with an Access code.

After completing and submitting the registration form, you’ll receive an email explaining the procedure for activating your Curio.ca account.

Just click the link provided to validate your account.

Now that your account is active, you can connect to Curio.ca.

When you log in, you’ll be immediately directed to your Profile section.

Using the Configuration feature, you’ll be able to...

Modify your personal profile and modify your options.

In the Profile section, you can also choose your preferred language and subscribe to our Newsletter to stay up to date with our latest releases.

Once logged in, you can bypass age group restrictions configured in your group profile.

Are you a teacher? You now have all the information you need to get started and explore your new Curio.ca tool.

Our General Overview Tutorial is a great place to find out the basics ofwhat the platform has to offer.

Are you the manager of your group?

In the Profile section, management features to which only you have access are available.

Using the Group Configuration tab, you can configure your group profile and modify your group options.

Under the Group Overview tab, you’ll find the Access code that you must provide to all new members of your group.

The Members list lets you grant Administrator rights to other members of your group.

And in the Metadata section, you’ll find a tool for generating a list of MARC records filtered according to your specifications.

STATISTICS SECTION

The Statistics section gives you access to a wide range of data on your group’s use of Curio.ca.

In the upper right area of your screen, under Event Types, you’ll find a summary of your group’s overall use of Curio.ca.

Using these statistics, you’ll see the number of pages viewed for a minimum of five minutes (Pageview), number of pages visited (Visit), and number of programs viewed in their entirety (Play) in the past month.

Our Most Viewed Pages, Most Active Users and Most Watched Channels sections let you view, follow and, most importantly, quantify your group members’ use of the platform.

If you wish to view your statistics for another time period, remove the default filter and choose a new one.

You’ll be able to select from our preset filters or customize your search by entering dates of your choice (Custom).

You can personalize your statistical graphics, change their settings (Query) or their appearance (View).

This statistical tool is yours to test out and explore!

One final helpful feature: in the upper right section of your screen, this icon lets you return to the default settings at any time.
