Statistical Guide 2012
Preface
The “Statistical Guide” provides data on the continuous further development and quality assu-rance of our educational system and thus helps to support present discussions on educational policies at an objective level.
On account of its clearly arranged layout of essential statistical key data on the school system, the University Colleges of Teacher Education as well as on adult education the “Statistical Guide” forms a useful source of information for all those interested in the topic of education. The “Statistical Guide” with its tables on the numbers of schools, classes, pupils and the edu-cational attainment of the Austrian resident population as well on EU benchmarks is published in analogy of publications of past years.
The “Statistical Guide 2012” is published in German and English and continues the series of bilingual publications of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, the Arts and Culture.
