> Construction activities continue to progress on all active Metro projects, including the Crenshaw/LAX, Purple Line Extension and Regional Connector Transit Projects

> What: • During tunnel investigation work at the Wilshire Bl/San Vicente Bl intersection, an anomaly was discovered

within the tunnel alignment• A work zone has been implemented to support mitigation activities prior to tunneling through the intersection

> When: • The current work zone (Phase 1) will be in place through November• A second phase of work is anticipated to start in November• A new work zone (Phase 2) will be implemented within the Wilshire Bl/San Vicente Bl intersection

> Traffic Controls: • A mix of intermittent and semi-permanent lane closures along Wilshire Bl and San Vicente Bl is continually

implemented to support mitigation work, which will include street investigation and soil improvement work• Traffic control has been implemented within the City of Beverly Hills and the City of Los Angeles

> Traffic Controls*: • Wilshire Bl will be intermittently reduced to two lanes in each

direction between La Cienega Bl and San Vicente Bl• Daily closures will be utilized in support of ongoing work

activities in the station box• Turn restrictions will be implemented at the intersection of

Next Steps: Station Construction

> Construction on interior and exterior lift walls will continue in October

> Each wall will rise 20 feet above the invert slab, and provide support for the future concourse slab

> Work activities in support of concrete and deliveries will be conducted within the staging yards

> Daily construction activities may be conducted underneath Wilshire Blvd. and from both Staging Yards for 24 hours a day

Next Steps: Roof Construction

> Construction on the roof has begun

> The concrete for each roof section will be poured from Wilshire Bl into the station box.

> These pours are anticipated to occur once every 2 – 3 weeks. Lane reductions on Wilshire Bl will be required to support this work. Typical work hours are between 12am and 4pm.

> Intermittent daily lane reductions on Wilshire Bl may be utilized for ongoing material delivery in advance of roof pours.

Wilshire/La Cienega Appendage Work

> Why: Multiple appendages will be required for each station on the Purple Line Extension

> Each appendage structure houses a vital function for the stations:• Emergency exits• Utility rooms• Ventilation rooms• Entrance/exit structures

Request for 2020 Holiday Moratorium Exemption

> The Holiday Moratorium Waiver Request will go forward for City Council consideration on Tuesday, October 27, 2020

> The following conditions apply until the earlier of June 30, 2021, or when restaurants within the City of Beverly Hills are

permitted by applicable public health orders to provide indoor dining at 100% capacity

• Minimum two (2) lanes in each direction to remain open on Wilshire Bl from Beverly Dr to Crescent Dr from 10:45am

to Midnight

• S Reeves Dr to remain closed from Wilshire Bl to the alley

• Compliance would be monitored and enforced by the Independent Compliance Monitor (ICM) in accordance with the

Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)
