Lund
Starcraft One Piece Hull vs. Lund Two Piece Hull
Lund uses two pieces of aluminum to make their hull. The aluminum pieces are welded together at the center of the hull.
Starcraft uses one piece of aluminum to make their hull. No center seam, means less chance for leaks and creates a stronger hull.
Starcraft Hull vs. Lund Hull
Starcraft’s “TBC” Torsion Beam Construction stringer system. It’s welded together as a one piece unit in a jig then riveted to the hull. This keeps the hull true to form. The bow ribs and the TBC System support the entire length of the hull bottom leaving no voids or weak areas.
Lund’s Stringers are cut pieces riveted to the hull bottom. The Bow area is supported by Transverse bulkheads. The area in between has a void/ weak area.

Starcraft Full Length Chine vs. Lund ¾ Chine
Starcraft’s Full Length Chine.Provides better lift, cornering, and drier ride
Lund doesn’t offer a full length chine. Lund uses a riveted on spray rail on some models to help keep you dry. The lack of a full length chine means less lift, poor cornering, and a wet ride.

Starcraft Deep V Design vs. Lund Shallow V
Starcraft utilizes a deep V hull design to provide the best ride period. Starcraft’s 176 Starfish DC features a 17 degree deadrise hull to slice through the waves.
Lund’s 1775 Impact Sport has a 15 degree deadrise. This shallow V design doesn’t slice through the waves, It rides on top of the waves.

Starcraft Starfish 176 DC vs. Lund 1775 Impact Sport
Starcraft 176 Starfish Console vs. Lund 1775 Impact Sport
• The 176 Starfish DC console (left) features “Soft Touch Vinyl” that provides a leather like feel and adds to value of the product. It is also Ergonomically designed so that gauges, controls, drink holder and switches are easy to read and access. There's plenty of room to mount today’s most high tech fishing locators. The 176 Starfish also features a deluxe highly polished steering wheel with tilt feature. Circuit Breakers instead of fuses provide electric circuit protection that can be reused at the push of a button, just like in today’s homes.
• The Lund 1775 Impact console (Right) is made of hard plastic. The console and steering wheel have the “budget look” compared to Starcraft. Tilt Steering is an option. Old fashion fuses in stead of circuit breakers. The user has to have spare fuses if a circuit is interrupted.
Starcraft 176 Starfish Seats vs. Lund 1775 Impact Sport
• The 176 Starfish DC comes with 3- Premium fishing seats that feature no exposed hinges, seat back side support, seat bottom side support and high density foam. The Starcraft seats are Ergonomically designed for fishing all day!
• The Lund 1775 Impact comes with 2- basic fishing seats that have exposed hinges, low grade foam, no seat back or seat bottom side support. Customers have the option to upgrade to the Starcraft style seats.
Starcraft 176 Starfish Gunnels vs. Lund 1775 Impact Sport
• The 176 Starfish DC (left) features wide heavy duty extruded aluminum gunnels. Bert’s Custom rod holders and track system can be bolted directly to the gunnels.
• Lund’s 1775 Impact has narrow extruded aluminum gunnels. The owner has the option to buy Lund’s “Sport Trak” accessory system rod holder brackets. The rod holder bracket is plastic and slides into the gunnels. Plastic is weak compared to the Bert’s Custom metal rod holder’s.
