Allows the user to set up exciting and attractive documents which helps present their information in a more interesting format.

Text, pictures, audio and video clips can all be inserted onto each page or slide of a presentation.

Linear Linkage of Slides

Some presentation & multimedia software like PowerPoint automatically set up simple links from one page or slide to the next.

This is known as linear linkage because each slide has a link to the next.

To move to the next slide all the user has to do is click or press a key.

Hyperlinks

Hyperlinks allow the user to be able to take a different path or route through each slide.

This makes the whole presentation more interactive. Hyperlinks can be displayed as a menu or set up as buttons or active text on a slide.

e.g. Click to Go To Slide 1

Adding Audio & Video

Audio (sound) clips and video clips can be added to any slide on a presentation.

Some users capture their own sound and video using the computers multimedia components.

A microphone is used to capture audio and a digital video camera or webcam is used to capture video images.
