Onshore and OffshoreHydrocarbons Exploration
STAGR Technology
STAGR Technology
STAGR technology applies structural-thermo-atmo-hydro-geochemical research to identify the priority areas and sweet spots of hydrocarbons deposits. The technology is low cost, quick and non-intrusive allowing to narrow down further exploration works.Works can be done both onshore and offshore
STAGR Technology Stages1. Geological and geophysical data analysis, interpretation of space images
to identify possible fractured zones, mapping of points for further field works (sampling).
2. Field works: sampling of air and ground at mapped points at the specific depth (1-1,5 meters) and thermometric studies.
3. Laboratory works: analysis of gas samples on radon, toron, helium, carbon dioxide and hydrogen, etc. (plus mapping).
4. Laboratory works: analysis of gas samples on hydrocarbons concentration (methane, ethane, propane, butane, isobutene, ethylene, propylene) (plus mapping).
5. Thermometric studies on investigation of correlation between local geothermic anomalies versus their base levels (plus mapping).
6. Aggregated mapping of priority areas and sweet spots of hydrocarbons deposits based on the above mentioned works.
Examples of Maps (Stages 4,5,6)

Equipment Used Within The STAGR Technology
• laboratory equipment for chromatographic and gas emanation studies, equipment for degasation of bottom sediments.
Application of STAGR Technology
STAGR technology has been successfully applied at more than 80 geological objects (including 35 offshore objects). As a result, 14 productive wells were drilled:
• 4 wells at the Black Sea shelf (Subbotin Area) and in the Azov sea waters, • 10 wells onshore (Nedilna, Yulievka, Vasyshche,
etc. structures).
About KT-EnergySince 2008 KT-Energy team has developed carbon emission reduction projects and consulted non-traditional energy projects:– 5 JI projects under KT-Energy leadership have
successfully sold carbon units to Western buyers;– since 2013 we have run the info project
“Unconventional Gas in Ukraine” – www.shalegas.in.ua;– in late 2013 we have formed partnership with the team
of leading geology professionals on the provision of STAGR technology services.
