I’m not a student, and I feel old, can I still book?Absolutely not, get back to work! OF COURSE YOU CAN, we don’t discriminate just because you pay taxes! We offer exclusive airfares and have the best deals around WHOEVER you are (even for your nan). You may come across a ticket that’s just for students but, before you go running off to enrol on a course, speak to us as we’ll find you flights that will work just as well. We also have under 26, under 31 and teacher tickets covered too.

Do I have to go around the world?Believe it or not (and we encourage you to believe) you don’t need to complete a full circuit of the earth to have a Round the World adventure. Some more typical routes do, but our airfares are pretty magical and we’re remarkably uninhibited so please, zig zag and backtrack away. For want of a better term, they’re still called Round the World tickets, but we won’t worry about the misleading geographical terminology if you don’t.

What if I change my mind? However well you’ve mapped this trip out, most peoples plans change. For better or worse, (better being that barista you can’t live without, worse being you’ve run out of money) you’ll thank us for building some flexibility into your flights. On our exclusive tickets we offer MultiFlex passes that allow you to date change your tickets for free while you’re away. This will save you $100s that can frankly be better spent on well, beer.

Now what?Your call sweet cheeks. For inspiration we’ve put together a brief journey of our favourite things to see and do on each continent and from page 16 onwards we’ve pulled some example routes for you to wanderlust after. However, at the end of the day, this is your adventure and your travels are as individual as you. If, after all of this, you still don’t know where to go, head into a store and let our Travel Experts help you make up your own route. You can even name it if you like.

So go crazy, the world’s your oyster, you only live once, seize the day etcetera. And get in touch soon, you’ve got an epic trip to plan!

What kind of ticket should I get?Your routing, budget and the length of your trip will usually determine what airline tickets we think will work best for you. We’re experts at this so give us your list of demands and we’ll do the rest. Besides, you have more important things to worry about, like how to pack for a year (the answer is lightly, believe it or not they do sell shampoo in the rest of the world).

your questions answeredBOOKING YOUR NEXT BIG TRIP

How long can I go for?Plan for a month and stay forever, it’s really up to you! Some tickets are only valid for 12 months, however, we know that this can fly by, especially if you’re planning on doing a working holiday. So, having taken into consideration that you may want to stay out in the real world a little longer, or that you may fall madly in love with a barista, we can put together some exclusive 18 month tickets especially for you and your indecisiveness.

ROUND THE WORLDYOUR WAY

YOURSELFdo it

This brochure is full of adventure, some mildly amusing but often useless facts, and a heap of example Round the World routes to give you inspiration for your own trip. Have a flick through, study intensely (or at least look at the pretty pictures) and then get scribbling and plan your dream route. We are experts at this so, if you are personally weird and wonderful and have a route to reflect this, we can probably make it happen. You’re only ruled by your imagination, your drawing skills and your bank balance.

Remember, you don’t have to go all the way ‘around the world’, so free spiritedly play dot-to-dot with your dream destinations. We can reign you in when things are getting too err, ambitious (expensive) or just turn you loose with an epic trip of a lifetime, a bit of jealousy on our part (not gonna lie) and some awesome advice from our own travels. Sometimes people even hug us.

And when you’re done, or just extremely confused, pop into one of our stores to speak to a Travel Expert or call us on 134 STA (782).

Ask us to put together your very own private tour! These itineraries aren’t fixed so you can request anything you want! Available at a 3 star+ level, with oodles of flexibility so that you can mould it around your budget. These trips typically include all accommodation, transfers and guiding... we can even arrange a chauffeur driven car!

GETTING AROUND

Hop On, Hop Off PassesExplore North America the classic movie way, like you’re running away from home/a boy/a girl/the Feds. However, with heaps of activities included along the way, we promise this bus journey will be way more glamorous. Whether it’s an epic wilderness adventure through Canada, ticking off the iconic national parks and cities of the USA or both, these passes will give you the ultimate freedom. Passes FR $259

The USA is easy to travel around, they speak English right? Well, questionable in both instances, particularly the latter. Eerie motels in the middle of Woop-Woop, vast desert wildernesses with rolling tumbleweeds...so, we exaggerate, but often this vast jaw-dropping country requires some home-spun local knowledge, a group of like-minded travellers, and someone to take the wheel, so you can kick back and watch the epic scenery unfold before you. Choose from trips exclusively for 18-35’s or a small group adventure.

GETTING AROUND

Island HoppingCasually hopping between Thailand’s idyllic islands in a pair of fisherman pants is just about as dreamy as it gets. Dive off Koh Tao, rock climb at Krabi, relax on Koh Phi Phi and dance under a full moon, covered in fluorescent paint on Koh Phangan. Flexibility is often key in South East Asia. Travellers seem to be continuously getting lost and ‘finding’ themselves (not actually, more spiritually). Anyhow, our huge range of hop-on hop-off passes will allow you to travel independently, jumping off for included highlights, and making schedule changes to allow for any deep philosophical travel moments. Immerse yourself in local culture and uncover Asia’s better kept secrets all at your own pace. Passes FR $115

Hop On, Hop Off Passes

Adventure ToursThe quirks and customs of Asia are a delightful minefield of protocol, etiquette, and fascination. Jump on a tour and you’ll benefit from the know-how of local guides to ensure you don’t miss a trick (and teach you important skills like how to cross the road between an endless sea of mopeds). Tick off that bewildering list of beaches, treks and temples with a bunch of new mates and invaluable local knowledge. Choose from tours exclusively for 18-35s or a small group adventure.

Vodkatrain Japan Rail Pass VolunteerTravelling by train over 7,000 kms across Central Asia is just about as epic an adventure as you can get. Incorrect onsen etiquette is not the only unfortunate thing that could happen on a trip to Japan. The biggest mistake would be NOT buying a rail pass. With 300 km/hr bullet trains and to-the-second punctuality, it’s not only an efficient way to travel, but also amazing value. Passes are only available to non-residents and can only be purchased prior to arrival. (Incidentally, the correct onsen etiquette is naked). 7,14 or 21 day passes FR $326

Need a break from drinking cocktails poolside? There is nothing more rewarding than giving some of your time and effort to a worthy cause. It’s all about the Yin and the Yang, you see? GETTING AROUND

The inside of a Latin American bus will become as familiar to you as your best friend. Other than the odd train journey and a very well known pair of revolutionary motorcyclists, most people (including a Bolivian family and ALL their belongings) travel by bus. 12 month passes give you all the independence and authenticity of public buses but without the hassle - with guidance on routes, recommended time-scales, included trips along the way, and unlimited date changes (should you fall for a Chilean sandboard teacher). Stretching across South America to Mexico and Panama, these passes give you limitless freedom, flexibility and the confidence to travel independently. Passes FR $369

Hop On, Hop Off Passes

Adventure ToursLocal knowledge and guidance are invaluable to getting off the well worn pages of your Latin America guidebook. Also, particularly great if your Spanish only extends to asking for a beer (great start though). This unbelievable continent is strewn with life-changing treks, teeming jungles, incredible ruins, paradise beaches and iconic cities - all of which require time, planning, budget...and Spanish. Our amazing tours will shoulder some of the burden, leaving you free to order the beers. You’re welcome (‘de nada’ by the way). 35 days Lima to Buenos Aires FR $3,699

Galapagos Islands Volunteer Learn Spanish in Buenos Aires Snorkel with sea lions, soak up the sun with iguanas, or simply sit back and marvel at the natural beauty that surrounds you. This isolated haven of biodiversity remains nature’s greatest science laboratory, more than two centuries after Darwin’s earth-shattering theory of evolution. Travel in comfort on a sailing adventure or opt for a land-based tour if you want to explore the towns and meet the locals. 6 Day Voyage FR $2,199

Time to lend a hand! Work with street kids in Cuzco, help out with sea turtles in Costa Rica, teach English in Argentina or assist with marine conservation in Mexico - so many worthy projects, you might just have to stay a little longer. Whatever you choose, you’ll be richer for the experience and so will the people and places you leave behind. Volunteer Cuzco Kids, 2-8 weeks FR $799

Stopping a while and learning Spanish in one of the coolest cities on the planet is fun enough in itself but it will also improve your experience of travelling in South America enormously; make some friends, order the right food and avoid awkward linguistic moments. Oh, did you mean to tell the waiter you had a man (hombre) instead of hunger (hambre)? Good for you mate!1-48 weeks Spanish School FR $520
