Thank you to all who participated in the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church Golf Tournament last Sunday. The weather was gorgeous and 12 teams played. The winning team was 13 under and consisted of Brett Gross, Eli Hilzendager, Clark Haas, and Carter Haas. Special thanks to:
• Jenny Weigel & Shainna Haas for keeping us hydrated
• Stephanie Fettig, Nicole Fettig, & Deran Piatz for setting up, cooking supper, & cleaning up.
• Tony Braun our photographer
• Darcy Piatz & Terry Schwartzenberger for organizing the day
• Schmitt Locker, Del’s Market, Ken’s Shopping Center & the Downtowner Restaurant for
providing the meal. Thank you to all those who golfed & participated! $3710.00 was raised for the roof project.
October: the Month of the Holy Rosary
The rosary is an invitation for all of us to experience the grace of Mary’s spiritual motherhood as she leads us to her Son, Jesus.
THANK YOU to all who made the Real Presence Radio Network visit to Napoleon today such a huge success. Thanks to my colleague and co-host Mike, it is always wonderful to work with you. Thanks to our guests for the two hours, Tanya Schneider, Lori Gross, and Deacon Gary Schumacher. Also thank you to:
• The Senior CCD students for leading our first hour prayer;
Kylee Bitz, Kourtney Bitz, Brooklyn Fettig, McKenzie Glatt, and Peyton Grunefelder.
• Those who led our second hour of prayer: Claire Piatz, Sa-
brina Haas, Anna Bitz, Jada Schwartzenberger, Alexis Schneider, and Aliyah Schwartzenberger.
• The many folks in our parish community who dropped in
and dropped off, or made a donation for such a worthy cause. First hour total with the match was well over our goal, not sure of final results on 2nd hour, but the community came together.
Reflection: Today’s parable is unique in that it includes the first name of Lazarus. What is the importance of knowing someone by name? Within your community how might you build relationships with people in need?

Curious about Catholicism? RCIA will meet this week at 7 PM on Thursday evening in the social hall. This weeks topic we look at the coming of Jesus in the Old Testament, why he took on flesh, and how the prophets message foretold his coming. If you would like to be-come Catholic, or learn more about the faith whether you are Catho-lic or not, you are welcome to join us.
Voices Wanted for our Youth Choir—grades 4 to 8:
If you would like to sing this month contact Danita Bitz at 754-2464.
This is a special day set aside to honor the priesthood in the United States of all priests, but especially those who bap-tized us, heard our confes-sions, brought us communion, and were there when we need-
ed them the most as a rock in our spirituality. Today is a day to re-flect upon and affirm the role of the priesthood in the life of the Church as a central one. “Without the priest, there is no Eucharist; They are valuable to us!” Please take time to thank our priests for saying ‘Yes” to God’s call. Take time to pray for them also.
This Sunday would be the feast of Archangels: Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. The angels are messengers sent by God to light, to guard, to rule and to guide us. Michael is the great protector. Gabriel delivered God’s messages. Raphael was a healer. Cut some time out, and thank your angel today, and develop a relationship with them.
Fall Supper Schedule: • Sun., Oct., 13th 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM – St. Katherine’s Church Base-
ment in Braddock; serving chipped beef and the trimmings.
• Sun., Oct., 13th 5 PM St. Andrew's Supper in the Zeeland City Hall, serving cubed beef, sausage, hamburger rice, and trimmings.
We pray for Joe Nolz. Death: 9-22-19- Funeral: 9-26-19
May his soul rest in peace!
