Gospel of Mahew Bible Stdy
He has exalted Mary
“And I shall glorify the place
where my feet have stood.”
The feet of the Savior
signify His human nature.
The place where the feet of the Savior stood
was the Blessed Mary,
who gave Him His human nature.
Today the Lord glorifies that place,
since He has exalted Mary
above the choirs of the angels.
That is to say,
the Blessed Virgin,
who was the dwelling of the Savior,
has been assumed bodily into heaven.

A Chance for St. Mary Youth
to Meet Pope Francis on an Important Pilgrimage
It is not too late for registered teens and young adults of St. Mary Mission to join the
Pilgrimage to Krakow in July of 2016 for World Youth Day. While the U.S. Catholic
Conference of Catholic Bishops just two weeks ago launched "Pilgrim Year of
Preparation" for our young Catholics, St. Mary Mission is still accepting teens (16+ years)
and young adults interested in joining our mission church's plans to have representation
at this holy event.
St. John Paul II is the author and still the inspiration of this odyssey of faith for our young
people which takes place every three years. It was St. John Paul's vision for our young
people from around the world to gather together with their pope so that he might speak
directly to them, to their minds, and to their lives. According to Bishop Caggiano, who
spoke at the inauguration of the U.S "Pilgrim Year of Preparation" in Washington D.C. last
month:
This pilgrimage is to be a unique encounter between the future of the Catholic Church
represented in our youth and the direct successor of St. Peter, Pope Francis, and his
brother bishops "so that we might be able to help our young people to move from an
uncertainty -- perhaps in the hearts of some -- about their Catholic faith to a deeper ardor
for the Lord and our Church.” Please get in touch with Mary Rose Anderson if you are a
teen over 16 or a young adult interested in joining this life-changing pilgrimage. Her cell
is 515-451-3749 or call the church office at 678-6536. Volunteers willing to help organize,
raise funds, and support this pilgrimage should contact either Mary Rose or Janet Rojas at
360-969-1609.
Next baptism class will be held on Oct.14th, at 6:30 pm and on Oct. 17th at 10:00am. Classes are mandatory.
Next Baptisms will be on November 14th.
Call 675-2303 x 5 to register.
