Prayer of the Week Hear, O Loving Father, our songs of praise. By

sending us Your beloved Son, the King of the

Universe, we have been freed from the slavery

of sin. Help us to serve the Lord with constant

gladness as we live to belong to the truth.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives

and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, forever and ever.

Reflection question: Do I behave joyfully as

one who has been freed from sin?

Please pray for the repose of

the soul of Christine Kinkel,

mother of parishioner Werner

Kinkel. Scripture Reflection: When the Son of Man comes in glory, may we be among those who have fed the hungry, welcomed the stranger, and

clothed the naked. Jesus tells us clearly that it is those who have demonstrated good stewardship by sharing their gifts with the less fortunate who will receive God’s blessing and inherit the kingdom. Living Stewardship: We are grateful this week for all stewards in our parish who give evidence that Christ is Lord in their lives through adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, attendance at Benediction, or participation in a Forty Hours devotion. We pray that as faith-filled stewards, we strive to bring peace and justice into the world while we await Jesus’ return. COMMUNITY NEWS The Nassau County Bar Association is offering two instructive seminars presenting useful information for attorneys and consumers alike in November and December: NOVEMBER 30, 6:30PM TO 8:00PM: “The 411 on Local Government: Working through Zoning, Building, and Parking Issues” DECEMBER 11, 6:30PM TO 8:00PM: “To Deduct or Not to Deduct: Income Tax Deductions and Deduction ‘Mistakes’” Both programs are free, although attorneys have the option to receive 1.5 CLE credits at a cost of $30. Register for the programs by calling (516) 747-4070. The Bar Association is located at 15th and West Streets (off Franklin Ave.) in Mineola.
