CENTRED ON JESUS CHRIST

Whole School Mass (Yr 3)

Our Year 3 classes organised a beautiful Mass on Friday, June 14. We reflected on the Gospel reading on what it means to love. Often love is not about getting. To love as Christ loved is about giving, even when we don’t feel like it. We pray that we may be able to love like Christ loves each of us.

Pre-primary Liturgy

The pre-primary Liturgy last Wednesday was a joy filled occasion on the theme of forgiveness. It was wonderful to see so many parents come and join in. The children were very engaged in the liturgy, singing beautifully. Thank you to the pre-primary staff for organising the liturgy, and to Fr Vinh for coming along to preside over the celebration.

Year 2J and 4J Buddy Mass

Miss Ferraro’s Year 2 Class and Miss Schofield’s Year 4s have organised to host an intimate Mass tomorrow morning with just the two classes. Fr Vinh will be there to celebrate and we welcome parents to come and join us. The Mass will start at 8.45am in the undercover area.

This Week’s Quiz On Monday Miss Whiteside lead the school community in prayer. Who was the special Saint Miss Whiteside referred to during this prayer? Give your answer to Mr Maxwell and you will be in the running to win a special little prize.

May God bless you, Tim Maxwell (Assistant Principal)

ENROLMENTS FOR 2020 We are well underway with the organisation for Kindergarten for 2020. If you have a sibling or know of someone wishing to enrol for any year group, please call into the office to collect an enrolment pack. The application form and all documents are to be returned to the school office as soon as possible.

STUDENT ILLNESS A lot of children are being sent to school when they are not very well. There lots of ‘bugs & viruses’ going around and sending children to school before they are better just passes germs around. Guidelines for time away from school are advised by your doctor.

Please do not send them until they have recovered.

OLD UNIFORMS – CLEARANCE SALE As we move from the old Banksia Grove uniforms, we have decided that all old Banksia Grove CPS uniforms will be heavily discounted to clear the stock. As advised in 2018, these uniforms will be able to be worn until the end of 2020. The current stock we are holding are: SALE PRICE

Red jumpers in sizes 4, 12,14,16,18 $20:00

Unisex yellow shirts in sizes 16,18 $10:00

Sports polos in sizes 12,14,16 $10:00

Sports zip jackets in sizes 4,14,16 $10:00

School hats – 61cm $5:00

Please be aware that as of Term 3, the price of the yellow woven shirts will be increasing to $35.

Previously, we have been able to absorb some of this cost. However, the recent price increase

from suppliers has made this no longer possible.
