CAFOD shop: It is with great sadness that a decision has been made to close the CAFOD shop in Waterloo. It will cease trading on Friday 21st December with last date for donations to the shop being 30th November. It was not an easy decision to make and it was very carefully considered. All those involved should be very proud of the shop’s achievements over its 25 year history. £800,000 has been raised, an enormous help to the needy and disadvantaged of this world. Thank you everybody.

CAFOD (St Helen’s) pray-fast-give

During November, we come together to honour CAFOD supporters and loved ones who have died, and reflect on the lasting impact they have had on the world. This year the Liverpool Memorial Mass will be on Saturday 24th November, 12 noon at St Ambrose, Heathgate Avenue, Speke, Liverpool, L24 7RS. If you would like to include a name in our Books of Remembrance please contact Roisin at [email protected] or 020 7095 5348.

Thinking outside the pew Scripture group. Jesus said, 'My Kingdom is not of this world'; we pray 'Thy Kingdom Come'. We will study the readings for the feast of Christ the King to understand better what Jesus meant and what we mean (and when we want it!) Parish centre, Monday 7:30.

2018 CHRISTMAS CARD CAMPAIGN. This year’s addresses for prisoners of conscience & victims of torture will be available in church from next weekend, ready for the start of Advent and in good time for posting ahead of your personal cards. Please follow the instructions you’ll find with the cards to avoid repercussions to the recipients. Thank you so much for the support we know you will give the campaign again.

Sixth Formers! There will be a one day training course for anyone who is in 6th Form and would like to be a Special Minister of Communion. It’s open to all local schools/colleges. It will take place at Sacred Heart, Please phone Anne Marsh at the school (931 2971) for more details.
