verify the liturgical color
for Mass.
The calendar to

Preparation of the Gifts:The unconsecrated hosts are found in the labeled
upper-cabinet in the Sacristy. There are 1000
hosts in each box and each box has 10 packages;
and each package has 100 hosts. The large
ciborium holds 850-900 hosts at max. The small
ciborium holds approximately 250 hosts. The
estimated number of hosts for each Mass are:
• 5PM Saturday Mass start with 600 hosts;
• 7:30 AM Mass start with 350 hosts;
• 9:30 AM Mass start with 700 hosts;

gifts to the persons presenting the gifts at the
appropriate time. (NOTE: Please make sure the
cut glass flagon is filled with enough wine for the
priest, deacon, EMHCs and altar servers. Estimate
wine level of the flagon handle). If priest is using
his personal chalice for himself and deacon,
fill flagon with only wine for them.Make sure
the Gifts (large ciborium) is covered with a
yellow cross corporal.
Also, place the basket for EMHC crosses on the
table in the narthex. After Mass, collect the
crosses from EMHCs and place in the basket

the count to the Lead EMHC, who will then
adjust the number of hosts in the large
ciborium in the vestry.
• Use a small ciborium to adjust number of
unconsecrated hosts in the large ciborium
located in the Vestry by subtracting number of
hosts, and return remaining unconsecrated hosts
to the Sacristy;
• To add to number of hosts take a ciborium
from credence table and add hosts and signal

other vessels for consecration

consolidation of sacred hosts is not done
on the altar, the Leads EMHC will place
the tall ciborium from the tabernacle on
the small table with the corporal to transfer
the consecrated hosts. (see picture)

to prevent any consecrated hosts from
falling on the ground in front of the
tabernacle.
Once the transfer of consecrated hosts are
completed, return the tall ciborium to the
tabernacle and lock it with the tabernacle
key. Return the tabernacle key to the
credence table immediately . After mass

from consecrated hosts, unfold all
corporals and purificators.

hosts found in linens should either be
consumed or put in the Sacrarium
without water on the left side. .
• To ensure fragments in the
Sacrarium go down the drain, add
water so that fragments go directly to
the ground, below the Church.
