LEGION OF MARY: Our annual Rosary Rally will take place on Tuesday October 16th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at St. Anthony's Church. All mysteries of the Rosary will be prayed with hymns and reflections, followed by a reception in the hall. Please join us to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary in the month of the Rosary.
40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Women with undesired
pregnancy who choose abortion as a solution for their
problem need our help. We can join efforts and take a
stand to pray and save these babies from abortion.
Join us on October 31 on the north sidewalk 50
meters east of the “Kensington Clinic” (access by
walking west from 23 St.) Provincial legislation
prohibits any kind of pro-life presence within a 50
meter zone surrounding the parcel of land on which
the Kensington abortion facility is located (2431 5th
Ave SW). Do not access this area. Sign-up sheets,
with the guidelines of where we can pray, are out in
the Hall.

attend this event. Come dressed as a favorite saint or
bible hero and enjoy a fun-filled evening of games,
crafts, treats & prizes - all dedicated to our blessed
saints in Heaven! Please bring a dish to share and if
you would be willing to volunteer or make a donation,

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY October 21 Next Sunday is World Mission Sunday. Every parish across the globe will celebrate this event. It is a global sign of the Universal Church and mission. On this day, Pope Francis invites all Catholics to contribute to a special collection for the Propagation of the Faith. Your support will help missionaries in proclaiming the Gospel of joy and peace around the world. Please join in this special day that unites Catholics from all over the world through prayer and care for the Church’s mission. Your donations will support churches, hospitals, schools and train seminarians and religious Brothers and Sisters in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Pacific Island and some of our Canadian dioceses.
FR. JACK’S CHUCKLE
A preacher phoned the city’s newspaper. “Thank you very much,” said he, “for the error you made when you announced my sermon topic for last Sunday. The topic I sent you was ‘What Jesus Saw in a Publican.’ You printed it as ‘What Jesus Saw in a Republican.’ I had the biggest crowds of the year!”

PRAYER for World Mission Sunday 2018
We pray to the Lord our pledge to preach with our youth the
Gospel to everyone:
You call us to preach your Good News to all nations, in every
situation!
Inspired by you, we come out from our churches and our houses
to preach the Good News.
Inspired by our youth, their dreams and their questions, we are
keen about your Mission.
Together, we will build a new Earth, which will be more just,
more in solidarity, and more fraternal.
We will build relationships marked by trust, sharing, and
openness to other people.
We will not erect walls of division, but we will build bridges
to connect your large human family! Amen
