Message from the desk of the Pastor
My dear people of God,
We are very much like Peter and can identify with his temptation to despair. A sudden turn of events in life and we are faced with storms which threaten the peace and security of our families and homes. At such moments our faith fails and we need to hear those encouraging words of Christ, “Don’t be afraid.”
Life is a perilous journey and we need the help of Christ to guide us to our true destination. Peter’s mistake was that he turned to Jesus in real prayer only in a moment of crisis when he was paralyzed by fear and in danger of drowning. There is a lesson for all of us who tend to forget about God when all is going well and who only become serious about prayer when problems and tragedies arise. The saying ‘All we can do now is to pray,’ betrays an attitude which regards prayer as a last resort when all else fails. Christ is prepared to help us at all times and not just in our hour of desperation. If we turn to him in all the circumstances of our lives he will show us how different his presence makes everything.
You and I face many storms in life in which we feel helpless. What do we do? We can panic or we can escape through different types of de-nials. The Apostle Peter reached out to Jesus even though his faith was weak. At times we may think that Christ does not hear our prayers. It is just at those times that we need to use our faith and call upon him even more. He gently but strongly sustains us. But we have to pray and we have to reach out. Our Lord tells us: “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you.” May God bless you.
Sincerely yours in Christ, Fr. Joseph
Encourage one another and build each other up. 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Our society is so quick to judge other people. It is horrible and it will only get worse. Especially for girls, I am so sorry we have to go through this. I know there are girls who try to break you and we should be building each other up instead. Complimenting one another or just putting a smile on our faces will truly make a difference in this world. I don’t get why gossiping should even exist. It is all filled with lies and misjudgment. It can also destroy your friendship with someone. It is best to not spread gossip with other people because what if none of it was true? You should surround yourself with people who are positive and loves being around you. If you find those people, your friendship will last forever. I want to have that kind of a friendship someday and I always pray for that. I wish that the world would be more positive instead of pointing out each other’s flaws that makes them stand out from the crowd. We were created to be unique and we each serve a purpose in the world. My biggest goal for my “Kylie’s Corner” book is hoping it brings positivity into society. I want the reader to know My God and how incredible He is. I am hoping it makes a differ-ence and that it changes someone's life for the better. I want God’s light to shine through this book and it is important to me that He is in the spotlight of it. I really want to "encourage one another and build each other up.” If you want some inspiration about lifting each other up, please listen to With Every Act of Love by Jason Gray. “We bring the king-dom come with every act of love. Jesus help us carry You Alive in us, Your light
shines through with every act of love. We bring the kingdom come." Kylie To help sponsor Kylies Book “Kylies Corner” by making a donation, please contact Kylie at [email protected] . Kylie will give you her mailing address to send your most welcomed
donation or contact the church office. Thank you.

The Hand of God: Little Philip was spending the weekend with his grandmother after a particularly trying week in infant school. His grandmother de-cided to take him to the park on Saturday morning. It had been snowing all night and everything was beautiful. His grandmother commented, 'Doesn't it look like an artist painted this scenery? Did you know God painted this just for you?' 'Yes, 'replied Phil-ip, 'God did it and he did it left handed.' This confused his grandmother so she asked him, 'What makes you say God did this with his left hand?' 'Well, 'said Philip, 'we learned at Sunday School last week that Jesus sits on God's right hand.'

Please Pray for Priests
Dear Lord, we pray that the Blessed Mother wrap her mantle around your priests and through her intercession strengthen them for their ministry. We pray that Mary will guide your priests to follow her own words, “Do whatever He tells you” (Jn 2:5) May your priest have the heart of St. Joseph, Mary’s most chaste spouse. May the Blessed Mother’s own pierced heart inspire them to embrace all who suffer at the foot of the cross. May your priest be holy, filled with the fire of your love seek-ing nothing but your greater glory and the salvation of souls. Amen.
St. John Vianney, pray for us.
