The group setting helps participants find comfort, cour-age, and support from others also grieving. The holidays can be especially difficult for those experiencing loss in their lives, so group members will share their grief and find ways to help them through this time of year.
Finding My Way is facilitated by Debbie Bona, a li-censed and nationally certified counselor. There are no fees or registration. FMI, please call Debbie Bona at 708-895-6700, ext. 43.

Did you know that, although we purchase most of our gift cards through Shop With Scrip, we also have a personal relationship with several of our local busi-nesses? Strack & VanTil, Gus Bock Ace Hardware, Beggars, J.J. Kelley’s, Mancino’s, Sub-
way, and Stephano’s Pizza are all locals who donate back a percentage of every gift card you purchase! We don’t have all of them available all the time in the Office, but you can always come in and place an order. Choose your cash and carry gift cards at the Parish Office, or place a weekly order from a larger selection. You pay face val-ue and a credit will go to Parish Maintenance, Tuition Assistance, or the School or Religious Ed. Family of your choice. Payment by check (register in the Parish Office) or cash. The office is open M-Th 8:00-4:00, closed for lunch from Noon-1:00 p.m. and for the day at 3:00 p.m. on Fridays.
See the red ink to the left? And the bracketed figures to the right? Numbers don’t lie; we are in the hole. But we CAN dig our way out with a little bit of help! The Tuesday after Thanksgiving has been dubbed #GIVINGTUESDAY, and our own St. Ann Giving Tuesday campaign is called $28 on the 28th. If enough people could make just a $28 donation, or whatever you are moved to give, we could take care of our finances very handily! Please visit our Give Central link to make a donation:
https://www.givecentral.org/location/100/event/14494
If you’d rather donate by cash or check, please submit in an envelope marked #GIVINGTUESDAY. Thank you!

Christmas Giving Tree
If you took a tag from our Christmas Giv-ing Tree, please purchase your $20-25 gift (no gift cards please), and return it to the Chapel on December 2 or 3 no later than at 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday. This is very important, as our volunteers will then sort them for pickup. Please note: We can only accept your gift AT CHURCH the weekend of December 2 and 3 only, and not before. If you cannot get to the Chapel that weekend, please bring your gift to the Parish Office the week of November 27-December 1. If you would like to help sort presents and ready them for deliv-ery, please come to the Chapel after the 10:30 Mass on December 3. Thank you for your participation in this wonderful holiday tradition at St. Ann’s!

Upcoming Events
Dear Friends,
NEW SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY Through the “Invest in Kids Act,” the state of Illinois has created a new way to fund scholarships for children from low-income households who want to attend pri-vate schools. The tax credit scholarships offered through this program could cover up to 100% of tuition and fees for eligible low-income students. Not everyone will qualify, but we want to make sure all Catholic families are aware of the pro-gram. While details are still being finalized, you can find information on the scholarships, the appli-cation process, and FAQs at
www.archchicago.org/tcs.
FMI, you may also contact the Archdiocese of Chicago at [email protected] or 312-534-5321. Visit our school website and fill out a 2017-18 Interest Form to be kept up to date. If you know families who would like to know more about Catholic school education at St. Ann and the scholarship program, please pass this information along to them.
CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOLS ENTRANCE EXAM On Saturday, December 2, Catholic high schools all over the Archdiocese of Chicago will host the en-trance exam at 8:00 a.m. Be sure to have your child pre-register at the high school of his/her choice by visiting its website. On the day of the exam, they will need to bring several #2 pencils and $25 cash or check made out to the adminis-tering school. If Catholic high school has ever been even an inkling of a dream, the tax credit scholarships can help make it happen for many families! Additionally, merit-based scholarships awarded by the schools are tied to the entrance exams, so be sure to have your student test at his/her first choice school.
HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE Mark your calendars for Tuesday, December 12, when we will fling open our school doors to welcome in current and pro-spective families to explore, meet the teachers, and enjoy some pre-Christmas fun! There may even be a special guest . . .
Have a great week!

Religious Ed’s Annual Cookie Walk and Raffle
December 9 & 10 After All Masses
Last year’s Cookie Walk was so popular, we nearly ran out of cookies! So while you’re planning your holiday baking, won’t you please set aside a few dozen for us? Donations can be dropped off on December 9 in the Narthex between 2:00 & 4:00 p.m. or brought in before any Mass.
This year’s raffle will be a 50/50 Split the Pot, with tickets at $1 each or six for $5.
We are also in need of people to help after Masses selling cookies & raffle tickets. To volunteer, or for more information, call Barb at 895-6700. All proceeds help finance our Religious Education program. Thank you for your support!
