Calling all youth who feel called to become an Altar Server! We invite you to attend a training for the Altar Server ministry on the following dates: June 19th, July 10th, July 11th OR July 18th from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM. Some requirements we are looking for in an Altar Server:• Must be a parishioner.• Completed the 5th grade OR at least 11 years old.• Received the sacrament of Baptism, Reconciliation, & Holy

Communion.• Desire to serve reverently at the table of the Lord.Attendance at ONE session will fulfill the training requirement. Please bring a parent and have accurate contact information as we communicate via email for the ministry needs. There will be a short parent meeting at the beginning of the training session. CRE Volunteers NeededThe Children’s Religious Education Department would like to invite you to share the love of God with the young disciples of our parish! We have exciting opportunities with our Sunday School, C.R.E. Formation and Sacramental Preparation. We still need support in each area, especially in our Faith Formation classes during the 18/19 school year. We will train you and give you all of the materials you need!

Healing The Whole Person

St. Paul had a way with words. He was able to take a very complex concept and summarize it. Simply, in today’s Second Reading from Second Corinthians, Paul says, “…we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5: 7). There is no question that it is one of the most difficult notions for us as Catholics and Christians to grasp and accept. The word translated as “walk” can also be translated as “live.” Thus, we could say, “We live by faith, and not by sight.” St. Paul’s saying that we need to build our lives around the eternal prospects, not those of this world. In this society “things” seem so important to us. However, the truth is that they have no eternal significance. That is an ongoing message in the concept of stewardship — who we are and how we live is more important than what we own and what we may appear to be. That can be tough for us. The late Billy Graham, was fond of saying, “My home is in Heaven. I am just traveling through this world.” St. Paul would agree with that statement.- Copyright © 2018 www.thecatholicsteward.com

If you're facing a grave illness, surgery or old age, please join us for this special celebration and the reception immediately after.
