model generation

models 2 and 3’s slitting log-ic came from the manipula-tion of a cellular automata algorithm originally created by jonas bredel, with more functionality programed in.A generation was selected and used within a template to create slits then the mod-el was stretched on a frame and different points got ten-sion applied to it.

we attempted to translate the model experimenting with nurbs surfaces:observations:• trimmed nurbs surface behaves alot different than fabric• blending and matching surface did not create the desired ef-

fect.• surface topology is unable to adapt to desired form.
