ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
While we cannot receive Eucharist while our
Masses have been temporarily suspended, we
can join ourselves spiritually to Jesus by
saying an Act of Spiritual Communion:
"My Jesus, I believe that you are present in
the most Holy Eucharist. I love you above all
things, and I desire to receive you into my
soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive
you sacramentally, come at least spiritually
into my heart. I embrace you as if you were
already there and unite myself wholly to you.
Never permit me to be separated from
you. Amen.”

PRAYER FOR MOTHERS
Heavenly Father,
from the beginning you have chosen to entrust
the human person to mothers in a special way.
We thank and praise you for the gift of mothers;
for their tenderness, care, and compassion,
for their intuition and encouragement,
for commitment and sacrifice.
Bless all mothers this day.
Keep, strengthen, and refresh them
in your loving care.
May they be blessed by our open-hearted
love and gratitude. Amen.
MEMORARÉ
Remember, O most gracious Virgin
Mary, that never was it known that
anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thine
intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly
unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my
mother; to thee do I come, before
thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions, but in thy
mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Each year a child in our parish, usually one who has
just received his or her First Holy Communion, is
chosen to crown our blessed Mother. Because we are
unable to gather this year, members of the Altar
Society have crowned Mary on our behalf. Thank you
Altar Society!
May is the Month of Mary. Perhaps this month you
would say a Rosary each day for the end to the
Pandemic and the opening of our churches.

As many around the world struggle with the
Coronavirus, St. Andrew and Ss. Cosmas and
Damian have not been immune to the effects
caused by these recent events. The directive from
Archbishop Etienne to suspend all Masses was an
important step in helping slow the spread of the
virus. This decision was not taken lightly. It was
made out of concern for the common good and
care of the vulnerable in our community. This
important step is seriously impacting our weekly
collection. Like most parishes, 90% of our revenue
comes from the generous support of our faith
community. This generosity supports the basic
operations (payroll, utilities, maintenance, etc.)
and ministries of our church.
To enroll in Online Giving, visit our parish
website and select Online Giving (for St. Andrew
Parishioners) or select Ss. Cosmas and Damian,
then Online Giving (for Ss. Cosmas and Damian
parishioners). We thank you for your
continued support of our parishes!
