The 150 King Street Connection Spring/Summer 2013 TENANT SURVEYS – THANK YOU Thank you to our tenant representatives for taking the time to complete the biennial tenant survey, the results of which were released this spring. Your valuable comments and suggestions are helping us to address your concerns as well as target areas for change. Click here for your copy of the tenant survey feedback bulletin. Diversion report The tenants of 150 King Street West are doing their part in reducing, reusing, and recycling! In 2012, our building’s diversion efforts helped the environment by saving: 4 4,664 mature trees, 4 7,775,640 litres of water, 4 2,279 tonnes of CO2, 4 11,393,730 kWh energy, and 4 4,268.80 cubic yards of waste diverted from the landfill. These efforts produced a diversion rate of 82%. Environmental recognition and certification We are pleased to announce that 150 King Street West has achieved BOMA BESt Level 2 certification. BOMA BESt is a national environmental recognition and certification program for existing commercial buildings. BOMA BESt recognizes and rewards environmental leadership and stewardship with respect to energy efficiency and other resources within the commercial real estate industry. Thanks to our tenants for continued support and commitment to a greener tomorrow. Visit our website for more information about our green practices. BUILDING ANNOUNCEMENTS Elevator Modernization Project Update The extension of two of the high-rise cabs to service the 28 th floor is complete. The installation of a state-of-the-art micro processing system is underway in all twelve passenger elevators and the freight elevator. Elevator interiors wil be refreshed, and the new, destination-management Compass System will be installed – with an algorithm-based optimization technique for dispatching elevators. Compass offers passengers shorter waiting times and shorter time to their destination, while improving building traffic flow. Parking Elevator Lobbies and Corridor Renovation completed We are proud that the renovation incorporated green and sustainable elements, utilized the reclaimed travertine from the lobby construction, and included new, energy-efficient lighting.

Tenant eventsSummer BBQ –August 2012 Tenants enjoyed an Asian-inspired Year of the DragonTenant Appreciation Barbequelunch. In Chinese astrology, theDragon is the most auspicious

and powerful of the 12 zodiac signs, revered for its strength, luck,intensity, and vitality. It's associated with high energy and prosperity.2012 marked the especially fortunate Year of the Water Dragon, whichoccurs once in 60 years.

Avoid Cold/Flu Info Booth –November 2012The Bentall Kennedy Working Well Program hosted a lunch-hour Avoidthe Cold and Flu information booth in the lobby. Tenants learned PublicHealth Ontario’s tips on preventing the cold and flu and the best ways tostay healthy in winter. The first 150 visitors received a complimentary fluand cold prevention kit.

Recycling Information Fair –December 2012At the Recycling Information Fair, representatives from CascadesRecovery explained the types of materials to place into each type ofbin – garbage, recycling, and organics. Representatives from Canadiancompany Compugen Finance explained that company's reuse andrecycling of old electronic equipment, and its donations of cash andnew technology to charity. Your questions about the building's wastemanagement program were answered.

Tenant Holiday Breakfast –December 2012 Our well-attended Annual Tenant Holiday Breakfast was held right here, inthe lobby of 150 King Street West. With our stunning tree as a festivebackdrop, tenants dined on a delicious hot breakfast.

Gift Styling with a Green TouchWorkshop – December 2012Hosted by the Bentall Kennedy Working Well Program, this workshoptaught participants how to creatively re-purpose items, decoratepackages with common household items, turn plastic bows intoflowers, and much more!

Toy Drive – December 2012150 King Street West continued its annual support of the CP24 CHUMChristmas Wish toy drive for GTA families in need. Tenants contributed bydropping off new, unwrapped toys for kids aged newborn to 18 years.
