About the Momentum Conference
What happens when you gather community stakeholders into one space, give them two days to connect with others who share their commitment, and provide the opportunity to learn from top minds in the nonprofit industry?
You empower an enormous force for positive community change!
NSC’s 2016 Momentum Conference seeks sponsorship for this first-of-its-kind event that will draw nonprofits, funders, community leaders and volunteers from the multi-state area. Sponsors will be a part of creating an environment where attendees can network, learn and walk away with valuable information to increase their capacity for community work. Highlights include:
• Nationally-known keynote speaker Vu Le is an executive director, blogger andhumorist who will share his thoughts on the power of networking.
• NSC will present awards recognizing four nonprofits from different regions ofMissouri who have impacted positive change through collaboration.
• A Panel of Experts will energize the room with expert commentary on topicssurrounding the theme of a connected community network.
• Vendor Village will provide a space for sponsors to connect one-on-one withattendees and will include highlighted areas for interactive presentations.
• Break-out sessions will be led by knowledgeable professionals from the nonprofitcommunity and the private sector.
About Keynote Speaker Vu Le Executive Director of Rainier Valley Corps and Creator of nonprofitwithballs.com
National speaker Vu Le is a writer, presenter, and the Executive Director of Rainier Valley Corps. This Seattle-based nonprofit has a mission of effecting systemic change by cultivating leaders of color to strengthen the capacity of community-of-color-led nonprofits and foster collaboration between diverse communities.
Vu’s passion to make the world better, combined with a low score on the Law School Admission Test, drove him into the field of nonprofit work, where he determined that those who specialize in that sector should take the work seriously, but not themselves.
Known for his no-nonsense approach and irreverent sense of humor, Vu has written hundreds of thought-provoking blog posts for his popular website, nonprofitwithballs.com. He is also the humor columnist for Blue Avocado, an online magazine for nonprofits.
