Dianne ReevesFebruary 13–14 at 8pmOne of the most recognized voices in jazz, DianneReeves coalesces her signature sound, broad-spec-trum repertoire, and fondness for love songs into avery special Valentine’s Day weekend performance.Reeves has long revered the city of New York, andnot too many cities top the Big Apple when it comesto romance, making Rose Theater the perfect place torevel in the occasion. Her latest CD, Beautiful Life, was a perfectly timed Valentine’s Day release in 2014,given the sensual essence of both original songs andcovers of Marvin Gaye and Bob Marley. Reeves willassuredly set the mood for what is becoming a Jazzat Lincoln Center tradition; for the second year in arow, the most awarded female jazz vocalist of all timetreats audiences to an intimate evening of music andstorytelling, delivered as only she can. Reeves will bejoined by pianist Peter Martin, guitarist Peter Sprague, bassist Reginald Veal, and drummer Terreon Gully.
