Special Needs DanceThe Special Followers of Christ held a dance at St Patrick’s on Friday evening November 9th. There were a couple dozen kids in attendance, dancing to music supplied by a DJ. The Knights and the Circles used their leftover food supplies and donated a hot dog and chips dinner to everyone. There was also popcorn and lemonade available. Thank you Jim Theis, Larry VonMosch, Denny Behm and Lonnie Haase for spending your evening in the kitchen.

Bingo ResultsOur annual Turkey Bingo evening was held back on Saturday November 10th. Just over 200 people attended, following the 5:00 Mass, and enjoyed a free hot dog and chips dinner before the games began around 6:30. 30 turkeys were awarded during the 20 games which matched the number of birds purchased for the event. Whew, that was close. A profit of almost $1700 was realized, half of which will be donated to the North Anoka County Emergency Food Shelf and the other half will be added to the council’s charity fund to be donated later. Thank you to all of you that attended.Thank you donors. Your donations paid for the turkeys and part of the meal.Doug & Dawn Arndt, Denny & Barb Behm, Lee Blais, Ron & Carol Cerwinske, Cal & Andrea Fogelman, Marc & Barb Frie, Lonnie & Pat Haase, Roger & Mary Hendricks, Mark & Deb Landwehr, Don & Belinda Massie, John Przytarski, Terry Rhodes, Vern & Carolyn Suchla, Charlie & Diane Teague, Paul & Theresa Teicher, Larry & Pat VonMosch, Mike & Rita Woolridge. Growth of the Knights of Columbus A Knights of Columbus council can work wonders; in fact, with its many programs, it can help change the community, town, city or neighborhood in which you live. However, a successful Knights of Columbus program depends on people taking the initial idea, modifying it to suit specific situations and local needs, then implementing the program in the way it works. Each local council evaluates the needs of their community and implements those programs and activities that are most needed in their area. The Knights of Columbus Service Program activities are designed to engage the council members in various

activities across a host of categories: Church, Community, Council, Family, Pro-Life, Youth

Mens Conference March 22/23Mark your calendars now and plan on attending at men’s conference the weekend of March 22/23, 2019. Plans are still in process but it’s never to early to set aside time. Move information will be in next month’s KC newsletter and St Pat’s bulletin.

District Deputy MessageFaith in Action - FamilyThis month’s Knightline has many suggested programs that will help us focus our efforts on involving families in parish life. Statistics say that the more involved parents are in their religion the more likely their children will continue practicing their faith. The Knights are here to provide opportunities for parents and children to learn and grow in their faith with programs that have been developed by brother Knights much smarter than me.Now that Advent is here we need to specifically focus our efforts on Keeping Christ in Christmas. Suggested programs include the Journey to the Inn, Light Up for Christ and the Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest. Our councils need to get busy and quickly organize.Let’s not forget the Consecration to the Holy Family program that would work will with the Feast of the Holy Family on December 30th.
