TAILORED SPACE MANAGEMENT

For over 30 years Space Logic has improved the efficiency and safety of work places in the commercial, industrial and medical field. The following case history represents a project that we have undertaken, and demonstrates the care taken to exceed the often demanding challenges presented by our clients.

THE CHALLENGE

Port Macquarie Private Hospital is an ISO accredited acute medical/surgical and rehabilitation hospital servicing the Mid-North Coast. It has been a leading provider of healthcare for this community for over 30 years. After carrying out a review of its central sterile supply department, theatre and general storerooms in relation to future growth, the hospital saw a need to increase its storage capacity, but without increasing the physical size of its storerooms.

Space Logic was engaged to fulfil the brief in maximising the current available space and incorporating the existing storage units to achieve the desired outcome.

THE APPROACH

Space Logic visited the site and wrote a detailed analysis of the room dimensions, current layouts, stock lines and quantities. They then engaged their in-house design team to draft an optimum layout to incorporate the existing shelving and to maximise the available space.

Space Logic’s unique product - the medi-basket systems - were used in the design and applied accordingly to the requirements and functionality of each room. The storage solution was installed by Space Logic’s professional install team.

THE RESULT

As a result of the refit Port Macquarie Private Hospital have increased their storage capacity by over 50 per cent, all products are clearly defined in its dedicated location, and 100 per cent accessible at all times throughout any procedure, contributing to a free flowing, efficient, theatre area.
