■ Red Planet fan-heaters are manufactured in rugged, oven-enamelled steel cabinets with strong safety insulated handles.

■ they have encapsulated stainless steel heating elements that have extra-insulation from the cabinet as well as a safety thermostat against overheating that prevents fire hazards.

■ this heater uses infrared technology which allows to heat specific areas without unnecessary heat dispersion. the IS 40 is therefore very economical and efficient.

■ the IS 40 is ideal for the heating of working environments with ventilation, as the infrared heat source is not effected by air flow; it can be used to defrost machineries or pipe lines and to dry materials.

■ the IS 40 is flexible in its uses and is easily installed. the heater is very compact, has a built-in fuel oil tank and is mounted on a wheeled trolley which allows easy movement both for locating and transporting.

■ the universal operation of the IS 40 is guaranteed as the burner assembly is adjustable, allowing the required height to be selected to deliver

the heat exactly where required.

■ the IS 40 is fitted with an approved burner which guarantees the operational safety. the unit also has protection against overheating of its surfaces.

Considering that the salesman should give the customer a choice of SIAl heaters, his personal experience is veryimportant. You will find here below an empirical formula to calculate the needed thermal power.

■ t = difference between the outside temperature and the desired inside temperature (in °C)K = dispersion coefficient

If we apply the formula, we obtain: Power= 144 x 23 x 4 = 13.248 Kcal/h

obviously before purchasing a specific heater, the required thermal heat output has to be calculated.
