For external authentication is need to override definition of Advanced Initialization Parameters - os_authent_prefix = "" (empty string)

Supported Character Sets - are AL32UTF8 or WE8MSWIN1252 used with AL16UTF16 National Character Set

REDO log files should be sized to switch in about 20 minutes

Install Oracle Server Software

SP3D Configure Oracle Networking.

The SmartPlant 3D software uses the Oracle net service to establish and maintain network sessions from client applications to the Oracle database server. After a network connection is established, this utility acts as a data courier for the client application and the database server.
