Introduction

• The Soviet Federation is the largest federation on Kebir Blue and one of the most influential in the galaxy

• It was established in 2977 as an authoritarian military pact and has since evolved into a participatory democracy

• For the most part there have always been at least twenty members of the federation

• The federation is affiliated an extended common market

• An ideological statement was introduced in 3020:

• The federation has evolved significantly over its six centuries of existence.

• While the federation was not founded on principles of democracy, it quickly became a democracy with regular elections

• Since 3500 the federation has been governed by two separate but equal entities:

• the Premier (executive branch) • the Council (legislative branch)

• There are currently two political associations in the Soviet Federation who compete for the positions of Premier and Councillor

• The Civil Democratic Union: a liberal democratic party

• The Vanguards: a communist party

• Independents are a significant part of modern soviet politics and generally hold one or two seats in the Council

Conclusions

• The Soviet Federation is a large, complex, and dynamic organisation. Soviet member states are encouraged to become as involved as they can. However, there are limitations and members are understanding
