RED LETTER DAYS AT UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA High School students and parents interested in exploring opportunities the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has to offer are invited to attend an open house or “Red Letter Day”. Students and parents can tour city and east campuses, meet with current students and professors and explore different fields of study. Discover ways to get involved on and off campus and learn about important admissions, scholarship and financial aid information. If you’re interested in attending the following dates, please contact: Liz Adams, Special Events Assistant Coordinator: [email protected] Upcoming Red Letter Dates:

October 21 November 4, 18

NEBRASKA Now If you are in high school (grades 9-12) and you’re interested in getting a head start on college, you can take real college classes taught by real college professors to earn real college credit through NEBRASKA Now. The benefits of NEBRASKA Now are evident!

Most NEBRASKA Now classes are offered at a flat $250-rate per 3 credit-hour class. The same class at the regular in-state tuition rate would cost $675.75, a savings of $425.75 per class.

Even if you don’t know where you want to go to college, the courses will transfer for credit (some may not necessarily fill program requirements).

Take classes online or in-person on your own time – some schools are setting up time for their students to take these classes or allowing students to do them during study hall. Note: this pro-gram does not offer classes for duel credit – there is no high school credit associated with these classes.

NEBRASKA Now students have one-on-one coaching with Kurt Mueller in the Office of Admissions for academic coaching and advising.

To explore and enroll in the NEBRASKA Now program, visit: https://admissions.unl.edu/specialized-information/nebraska-now.aspx EXPERIENCE THE POWER OF RED VISIT DAY The College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources is hosting their annual Experience the Power of Red Visit Day on Saturday, November 5. During this event, students will learn how CASNR prepares students for careers in everything from animals to plants, soil to climate, golf to business, mechanization to leadership and food to forensic science. Guests will meet faculty, staff and current students to get the scoop on what life at UNL is really like. Explore cam-pus in person and get a true sense of the UNL CASNR experience. There is no charge to attend this event. More information is available at: casnr.unl.edu/visitday.
