News from the Chapter President

Southern CT Mensans,

Even though autumn just began, it's not too early to start to think about our chapter holiday party. The

board had unanimously approved holding a gathering on a Sunday afternoon in the first half of

December. We are working to get the same location as 2014—Starkweather House in Trumbull. We

will publish the details in the November newsletter.

Another topic is the election—not the national one, but our chapter's. We are looking for members

interested in serving on the election committee. Any chapter member who is not an elected officer is

eligible to serve. The election itself is held in the spring, but the committee comes together in the fall

to put together a candidate slate. The elected positions include President, Vice President, Secretary,

Treasurer, and Member-at-Large. Contact me if interested in helping with the election.

And for those gamers not going to Boston Mensa's Wicked Good RG, the Falcon Game convention

(www.conncon.com) will be 10/28–10/30 at the Stamford Marriott.

Have a great month!
