ACTION IN SOUTH WEALD
Nina Cutbush, South Weald Lib Dem
campaigner, quickly swung into action on
behalf of Brook Street residents who were
experiencing neon-lit nights from Topps Tiles.
Despite a refused planning application, the
large, yellow, neon sign was lit 24 hours a day.
Nina said: “As soon as I was aware of the problem I worked with
Brentwood’s Lib Dem councillors and, less than two weeks later, the
problem was sorted and the light is now switched off at night.”
“Don’t hesitate to get in touch with me if you have a problem you
think I might be able to help with”, added Nina.

20mph ZONES ENFORCEMENTRecently, 20mph restrictions were introduced in River Road, The
Grove, Tern Way, Spital Lane, Wingrave Crescent and Leonard Way.
Unfortunately, residents are telling
us that they have made little impact.
We believe that we need to take action and
are campaigning for enforcement of the
20mph zones in this area and are petitioning Essex Police on
the matter. You can find the petition on www.brentwood-
