UsingtheVariableNDfilterMovetheNDfilterknobtothehighest(darkest)preset,turntheswitchbelowtoVARIABLEandthenturntheswitchbelowthattoND.ThewheelwillthenadjusttheNDlevelvariably.

ThevariableNDisusefulifyouwanttomaintainaconsistentfstop(IRIS)invariablelightconditions.Itisasimplewaytoadjustexposurewithoutaffectingdepthoffield.
