Think about something you
have a connection with or feel
passionate about. If you find a
charity to volunteer where youtruly feel you are making a
difference, your determination
will never fade. Macie South-
ern, youre a wonderful exam-
ple for many teens and Im
sure the Make-A-Wish Foun-
dation is proud of your accom-
plishments and the encourage-
ment youve given to children
around the world. Keep up the
great work!

was a huge success. Ive been in
the newspaper and on the news
multiple times for my work and I
was in two Make-A-Wish com-mercials (PSAs) when I was
younger. In addition, I was also
privileged to be recognized as the
first honorary Wish Society
Member, a group of people recog-
nized for their dedication to the
Make-A-Wish Foundation because
of my many years of service with
them. Dedication is an excellent
word to describe Macies level of
commitment to the Make-A-Wish
Foundation. As an ambassador
with lots of experience in volun-
teering Macie advises other teens
to reach out and get involved in
their community.

Toby McGovern Soccer
Toby McGovern loves soccer and
is good at it! Soccer has been a
part of Tobys life for as long he
can remember. He played on hisfirst team when he was four
years old. Tobys dad is a soccer
coach, which is how Toby got
started. Toby said, I have
been playing since as long as I
can remember. My dad is a soc-cer coach and he used to take
me to practice with him. I can
remember looking at the pictures
in his coaching books and trying
to make the same moves as they
showed. Toby addresses disci-
pline and running as concepts to
get better at soccer. He said,Soccer requires a lot of hard
work and dedication. It takes a

2. Fitness Make sure you run a good distance, change direction
quickly and have good speed.3. Communication We are always
talking to each other on the field. It is like having 11 quarter-
backs on the field at the same time.4. Watch games There arealways games on and it will help show you the right way to play.Ifyou can watch a Liverpool game (my favorite team) then you will see
some very good players.5. Dont give up It takes a long time to
be good at soccer but you can play it for your whole life. Its
clear to see that Toby McGovern is dedicated to soccer and one
day he may be playing on T.V. as a professional.
