Social marketing is about using social media and social networks and combining it with personal branding & internet marketing

techniques.

Social marketing is for people who are interested in marketingthemselves, their company, product or service in social mediums

online.

It is also about representing yourself in the best light possible and providing a valuable service to the social community online in theway you “give back” and make a difference in people’s lives.

Why create SocialeGuide.com?

I created this social marketing magazine and blog network because I knew

so many people were “new” to this new way of doing business & networking

socially online and they need the right information and education.

And because people were asking:

Providing resources. I want to have many resources to share in one place so that when someone is looking for that one thing, they can find us thru Google or by word of mouth.

Educating the masses with the great quality content that is being provided by coaches, mentors, trainers, authors, speakers and entrepreneurs.

Helping people to improve their marketing and business skills using social networking, social media, internet marketing, small business and entrepreneurial training.

The people who practice and master social media marketing. There are so many unique individuals with different areas and topics to research and learn from.

Giving credit to all the wonderful people who are out there teaching, mentoring and inspiring other people to make positive changes in their personal and business life.

Why will people go to SocialeGuide.com?

People will go there to learn, to develop trust and to form relationships. If we are

able to provide a valuable and reliable service, we will develop an audience.

We already have ready, willing and waiting audiences on Facebook and Twitter.

It is now time to educate and engage them outside of those places.

We must also attract and engage visitors from the search engines who are not our

friends yet. The global world on the internet has an insane amount of people.

But most people do not like to visit individual blogs. They do not want to rely

on the opinion and point of view of just one individual.

But if you can offer them a place to get multiple opinions, writing styles and distinct personalities, you will keep their attention and they will stay and participate.

Especially when they see other people engaging and joining in conversations.

Blogs57 million American adults read blogs. That is 39 percent of all internet users in the U.S.

As people turn away from t.v., newspapers and magazines to the daily content that is available from bloggers, the opportunity exists to find a way to organize all the abundant amount of free content floating around the internet.

 By nature, blogs have specific subjects with specific audiences. Advertisers have recognized these new and exciting opportunities and are spending a lot of money on blog advertising because it is highly targeted, effective and entirely measurable.

 For the first time in history, it is not only possible but also simple and cheap to “publish” content constantly in a manner that is accessible anywhere in the world. How incredibly awesome is that?

Anyone with the ability to put together interesting quality content on a consistent basis has the ability to earn thousands of dollars per year in advertising, affiliate programs and memberships.

 As a result of this, new and original content is flooding the web and creating an internet renaissance. Article and content art if you will. Beautifully written pieces are shared all over the world and admired from person to person.  

To be successful a blog must provide a valuable service. I am certain that our blogs and our chosen topics, will provide many services.

What makes a blog successful?

A profitable blog must have three main features:

WE WILL SMOKE THE COMPETITIONThe social marketing arena and the blogosphere may seem crowded at first glance but every topic has unexplored niches.Do your homework to find the one that suits you.

But there is little to no competition for us out there.

Singles blogs with one author are no comparison to several respected, well spoken, inspiring and intelligent social bloggers.

Our blog will be so unique because although it will be focused,there will be so many areas and niches that we can reach in to. Blogs are LOVED by the search engines and this is true for most single blogs but imagine the traffic generated by a SUPER blog, a blog with many users who are providing valuable, focused and helpful information on a consistent, reliable and responsible basis.

Do you blog ?

Right now there are some great notes (future blog posts) on Facebook and the only place they

get seen is on Facebook notes. How many of you are also posting that same note to your blog?

But even when you post it on your blog, you won’t get that many comments.

Many people don’t comment on your blog because most people don’t find your blog.

How could they? You are not distributing consistent content to bring traffic.

They will be part of a Blog Master Mind Group. Group will meet (via web) bi-weekly for brainstorming.

They have many blog functions available to them. They are allowed to download plug-ins.

They are allowed to put their code for Google Adsense.

They are allowed to place sponsor banners or ads. They are allowed to post and write pages.

 

They are given 3 broad main categories to blog about.

But within those categories there can be many sub categories.

Sub categories are like niches or specialized topics.

 

Editors will post editorial reviews (giving the review more authority & relevance)

Editors have an editor’s profile page with more options for customization and more ways to be social.

Editors are listed in the editor’s directory. They will have a personal marketing page.

An Author is for people who sign up just because they want another Free blog.

It’s also for people who want to write in their blog occasionally.

That’s cool. They are always welcome.

Authors are only allowed to post and edit their post. They are not allowed to create pages.

They are not allowed to install plug-ins. They have a limited profile page but they do not

have their own personal page or marketing page.

Are listed in the directory of blogs. They do not have control over ads.

Everyone starts out as a Author, unless you are chosen by socialeguide.com because of your

work as a blogger. You are also promoted to a contributor when you have a certain amount

of posts and user ratings.

For those who choose not to get their own blog but want to have access tomember’s only areas and have the ability to comment, etc. Important for all blog sign-ups:Be prepared to write your first post upon signing up. It could be anything, it doesn’t

matter.

There is a very important reason for this. If you sign up for a blog, your site is then live.

If you don’t make a post it is possible that your Hello World post (wordpress default first post

for all new blogs) will show up on the front page of socialeguide.com and we don’t think

that will look too cute. Hope this makes sense.

Themes*In an attempt to control the look and consistency of the entire site, all themes except

the main theme will be disabled.

We are telling people that you are editors or that you write for socialeguide.com

If they came and saw many different themes and looks, not only is it visually distracting

but it gives us a lack of credibility.

It has a magazine style theme. It functions as a CMS.

It will have social networking capabilities such as profile pages, personal email,

photo and video storage. (coming soon).
