great impact on the lives of young people.

• Social media refers to interaction among people in which they create, share, and exchange information and ideas in virtual communities and networks

• Andreas Kaplan and Michael Haenlein (specialized in social media and viral marketing ) define social media as "a group of Internet-based applications that build on the ideological and technological foundations of Web 2.0 and that allow the creation and exchange of user-generated content.

• Use online social networking sites like MySpace or Facebook-80%

• Go online to get information or news about current events or politics-62%

• Buy things online like books, clothes or music. eg, Amazon, ebay, bestbuy so on-48%

• Share something that you created yourself , such as artwork , photos , videos or stories-38%

• Have a video chat conversation with other person through application like Skype, Viber or Google talk-37%

• Overall, from the research we found that social media have very negative impacts on youth, they enjoy in their virtual world (Social media sites)

• lack of seriousness and less interact with society

• less problem solving skills and they hesitate to make eye contact while talking

• less confidence and less concern about surroundings are the major factors .
