    Application Due:

    February 6th, 2015 by 5:00pm in the DEC (Bldg 22-270) or Student Life (27-Upstairs)

    Eligibility:

    These conferences are meant to enhance and enrich our students learning experience. They are

    free to current SPSCC students. While students of color are encouraged to apply, theseconferences are open to any student that demonstrates strong allyship and a commitment todiversity issues on campus.

    Conference descriptions:

    Students of Color ConferenceApril 23-25th Yakima, WA

    This conference offers educational workshops designed to help students lead in a diversecommunity. In addition, students participate in a group discussion of issues that affect their ownidentity group. Students will be able to network with other student leaders from Washington State

    community colleges.

    Requirements:

    Students need to prepare themselves in order to make the most of their conference experience.Once selected, there will be mandatory pre-conference orientation/workshop on April 10th2:30-

    4:30.

    Students will also participate in an informational session, where they will formulate their

    expectations for the conference and plan a follow-up project. Info sessions: 01/21 12:00-1:00,01/21 5:00-6:00, or 01/27 3:30-4:30.
