PLEDGE 2019 UPDATE: To date we have received 118 pledges for a total commitment of $286,011. Thank you for supporting our work together. If you have not yet sent in your pledge for 2019, please fill out a pledge card and send it in. 2019 PLEDGE ENVELOPES: The envelopes are available in the Narthex. Please pick them up at your earliest convenience. EPIPHANY CELEBRATION: Please join us for church school on Sunday, January 6th at 10:00 AM. We will learn about who else traveled to see the newborn king. There will be special guests that will come from afar bringing gifts and we will host a royal celebration. MONDAY MORNING PRAYER GROUP: The Monday Morning Prayer Group will resume on January 7th. MLK DAY SERVICE: A panel discussion and worship service will be held on Monday, January 21st from 6-9pm at First Christian Church in Lemoyne. There will be a conversation about race and history in connection to East Shore/West Shore division and a Martin Luther King, Jr. commemorative worship service at 8pm. PARISH ANNUAL MEETING: Mark your calendars for our annual meeting on Sunday, February 10th after the 10 am service. We will be electing four new vestry members. If you are interested in serving on the vestry, a job description can be found on the bulletin board. If you are chairing a committee, please begin to think about your report to our annual report.
MEN’S BREAKFAST: The Men’s Breakfast Group will meet January 5, 2019 at the Cornerstone Coffeehouse, 2133 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA. Gather at 7:45, start at 8:00 and end at 9:00. This month’s study of “Human Wickedness and The Fall” will be led by Aaron Pridmore. All men of Mt Calvary and their guests are encouraged to attend. WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP: We will resume meetings in January and meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 pm in the Mt Calvary parlor. Our next book will be “Final Words From the Cross” by Adam Hamilton. We will examine the final statements Jesus spoke from the cross and their impact. On January 9, 2019 we will start with the following: Introduction and Chapter 1: “Father, Forgive Them.”
CHILI BAKE-OFF: Parish Life is sponsoring a Chili Bake-off on January 19, 2019 at 6:00. We would love all of you that make chili to sign-up for this chili competition. The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board. Please sign up by January 13th and let the fun begin. All others are welcome to come and vote for the best chili and socialize. If you want to bring cookies or snacks that would be wonderful and appreciated. Drinks will be provided.
