SMOKING IS DANGEROUS

Cigarette smoke contains over 4,000 chemicals, including 43 known cancer-causing (carcinogenic) compounds and 400 other toxins. These include nicotine, tar, and carbon monoxide, as well as formaldehyde, ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, arsenic, and DDT. Nicotine is highly addictive. Smoke containing nicotine is inhaled into the lungs.

Nicotine reaches the brain within 10 seconds after smoke is inhaled.

Carbon monoxide binds to hemoglobin in red blood cells, preventing affected cells from carrying a full load of oxygen.

Carcinogens in tobacco smoke damage important genes that control the growth of cells, causing them or to reproduce too rapidly.

Smoking affects may increase the risk for respiratory and other infections.

The body produces antioxidants to help repair damaged cells. Smokers have lower levels of antioxidants in their blood than do nonsmokers.

Smoking is associated with higher levels of chronic inflammation, another damaging process that may result in oxidative stress.

Life as a smoker is a life of addiction. You can't quit. You may think you can quit. You may live your whole life thinking you can quit. But the reality is, you can't quit. Sure, some people do quit, but only through extreme effort. And even those who do quit are fighting to stay that way for the rest of their lives.

When a pregnant woman smokes, it diminishes the supply of oxygen to the baby. The nicotine can result in the increased heart rate of the baby. Nicotine diminishes the baby’s source of nutrients due to the augmented blood pressure and blood vessel constriction

Around 5.4 million deaths a year are caused by tobacco.

* Smoking is set to kill 6.5 million people in 2015 and 8.3 million humans in 2030.

1.3 billion people are smokers worldwide . I wish that all the smokers stop smoking .and this will reduce deaths worldwide .

These packets must be closed and never opened again.
