This is the first fully wireless, Zero Maintenance Fuel Management system designed in South

Africa. We call it a Zero Maintenance system as it is fully modular (plug ‘n play concept) and can

be maintained by non-technical personnel with little training and a little diagnostic assistance

from our Help Desk.

Since we installed the Smartfuel system we have not replaced a pump board for

the past 5 years; no more lightning strikes. Shortages have been cut to a

minimum and where there are any shortages. We re able to identify the culprits

due the checks and balances that the reports provide. The accounting system in

the backoffice application is brilliant and our account customers are happy

because they get consumption reports and as a result word of mouth spreads

which is great for our business. We get more customers and our literage keeps

going up

The Pumps

• There are large variety of Pumps that we currently communicate

with and this includes Prowalco, Dresser Wayne, Tokheim,

Hongyang, EHAD, Gilbarco and Mechanical pumps.

This is the Tag Reader that fits on Pump and the

iButton Tags are programmed into the system to

identify the Attendant and each vehicle will have

a Tag attached to the Keys to allow fuelling to

each Fleet vehicle.

Each Vehicle can be configured

for a particular Grade of fuel

and Tank Capacity with a

restriction on re-fuelling until

an elapse time period.

There are various other options

that will restrict fuelling so as

to allow vehicles to fuel within a

budget. An example will be to

allow vehicles to fill only one

Tank of Fuel per week or only

20 litres per day.

The Computer System

Typically a Touch Computer

runs the Site with the full

capabilities of Stock control.

Each grade of fuel has a

different colour on the

screen

The system gives a theoretical Tank level calculated

from the fuel pumped per nozzle and the data

entered from the Fuel Purchases. The system gives

a variance report once the Dips are entered of the

Calculated vs. the Theoretical and this helps to

identify losses or discrepancies.

Before putting Smartfuel we used C8000, 18 months ago we

installed Smartfuel and we have never looked back. The system is

very easy to use and has less inaccuracies. The SmartFuel

debtors system is awesome because the system automatically

cuts off a transaction when the limit for the account is reached.

the limit is reached. Ability to email professional statements to

clients is a big plus. The support we get from the SmartFuel
