What it takes. You’ve heard about the all the systems,

programs and support that we provide to all of our franchisees.

Here is a brief overview to build your own SMARTBOX Portable Self

Storage Franchise.

Exclusive Territories. All franchise owners are entitled to

and will assist in determining their own, exclusive territories. The

minimum starting territory consists of 200,000 persons and will be

defined by contiguous zip/postal codes.

Initial Franchise Fees. The initial franchise fee is $40,000

for an exclusive territory of 200,000 people. For larger territories,

the fee will vary based on size, demographic, economic and

geographic characteristics of the territory.

Pre-Qualification Requirements. SMARTBOX has

minimum liquid asset and net worth requirements based on the

size of the territory that is being requested and overall financial

strength of the individual or group making the request.

Start-up Costs. The initial investment to develop a

SMARTBOX business includes a territory of approximately 200,000

to 1,000,000 people, one storage facility, one truck, two Forklifts,

and an initial supply of containers. Costs range from $375,000 to

$1,000,000 – depending on the storage center location, advertising

budget and a number of other factors. All of these details will be

outlined in the FDD.

Ongoing Costs. Franchisees are required to pay ongoing

fees as follows:

Royalty fees – 7% of net sales

Marketing and Advertising Program –2% of net sales

Customer Order Center fees – $1,000 or 2% of net sales,

is made to move forward, a Franchise Agreement will be signed, and

your franchise will be granted. Your franchise may include one or more

protected territories ranging in size from 200,000 to 1+ million people.
