A lot can happen in just one day... unique wildlife, amazing history, incredible stories, breathtaking buildings, local food and drink, new friends and maybe even a new perspective on life...

But you don’t have to take our word for it. We’ve taken some stories from our travellers’ forum. They say the loveliest things, so we thought we’d share them with you. After all, stories are for sharing and storytelling is at the heart of what we do. So it seemed only right to carry on that tradition here.

“The best day tour on any continent!” Posted by: Rarmstrong75 I have taken a wide range of tours in several countries. For Scotland I would normally make my way around on my own, but I had a first timer with me. We showed up and were the ONLY TWO scheduled for the tour. They didn’t hesitate and ran the tour. Rabbies had access to two Castles that are closed to the public in winter. Imagine being in an awesome ruin with the sun starting to peak out with no one else in the place! Great photos! Michael allowed us to direct the tour more to our tastes and gave great advice. I will only use Rabbies in the future. When I next return I will be booking a private tour to visit my family clan sites!

“I will come back to Scotland because of Rabbies Tour”

Posted by: Annette J Dearborn Stopped in Edinburgh on European Holiday from the US. Took Rabbies 1-day tour of west highlands on a whim. Best day of our whole trip. Tour group was small and extremely well organized. Our tour guide, Jamie, was SO able to keep the group organized, we never felt rushed and we never felt like we wasted time either. Jamie is extremely knowledgable of the history of the sites we saw, and he shared it with interesting stories that added cultural and historical richness to the beautiful highland countryside and castles. We will visit

Scotland again, and we will take a Rabbies multi-day trip because we liked this one so much.

“Thanks!” Posted by: Rachel C Just wanted to give a big thank you to Bruce who was a great tour guide! My sister and I went on a day tour of Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle with Bruce as our guide and he was terrific!

“Thank you, Audrey”

Posted by: Bill and Mary Ann Hubbell

Brilliant! We really enjoyed this trip. We were given plenty of time off the bus to tour and visit the local sites. We enjoyed the many castles, wide open spaces, the history and legends of the area and the local cuisine. The bed and breakfast accommodations were excellent. Our tour guide and driver, Audrey, was an unexpected highlight of our tour – extremely entertaining, superb story teller, super friendly, and exceptional driver. Our only complaint is that it was all over much too soon! We highly recommend this tour to everybody.

“The BEST tour you can take in Scottland!”

Posted by: Greg R I took the 3 day Isle of Sky tour and it was the best tour I have ever taken in my many travels around the world. I’m a cinematographer and the images and locations you see are second to none. This company knows how to treat its customers and I will be back for more adventures. My guide George was the tops. Knowledgable, funny and, energetic. I can’t recommend these guys high enough. If you want to have fun, see more than just the tourist traps and genuinely want to learn about Scotland’s amazing history, then try these guys.

Rabbie’s proved to be the most flexible and professional tour company I have ever experienced. Two of my dreams in life were to visit Dun Eistean on Lewis, and the MacCrimmon Memorial on Skye. Though not normally on Rabbie’s itinerary, both guides went out of their way to get me to there. A VERY BIG thank you Suu and Eric, you made my holiday the most memorable and enjoyable time of my life. All the stories, songs, poems along the way added to a truly unique experience. I can’t speak highly enough of Rabbie’s, and have recommended you to family and friends.....I know they won’t be disappointed.

“As legends go, our guide was at the very least, well... legendary! His stories made us laugh and nearly cry at times. Stories and stops with a local touch that made our tour feel like we were part of something. And I guess we are now. I’ve got a few new numbers in my phone I didn’t have when I left this morning”

Legendary friendliness

We’ve been delivering ‘small group tours’ since 1993 and in that time we’ve become recognised as the best at what we do. We believe that our small group tours give you more. More personal attention, more time with the locals, more time off the bus, moretime

on the back-roads and just more of an all-round enriching, memorable experience.

Getting you closer

Your tours, guides and mini-coaches have been hand selected to show you the best of the country. By getting off the beaten track and onto the back-roads, we get to where only the smaller tours can go - closer to the real people and local lives, past and present. Time off the bus is important too and we pride ourselves on getting you out there amongst the locals for a truly authentic experience. Your comfort is paramount so we only travel by low emission modern Mercedes mini-coaches. They have big panoramic windows (3 out of 4 seats are window seats), stereo systems, full sized reclining seats (with seatbelts), air conditioning and more leg room than the average coach. Our guides

Our guides are each hand-picked for their pride andpassion for the areas they tour.

Chosen for their expertise, knowledge and ability to entertain, they will regale you with folklore, myths, history and legend. We don’t just leave this to chance - we are proud to have won many awards which are testament to how our people want to be a part of your experience. We do everything we can to ensure you get a great tour, led by a great guide, someone you know really cares about what they do and how they do it. Caring for our environment

From the very beginningRabbie’s was built by valuing, managing and conserving ourenvironment. We aim to leavethe legacy of our beautifullandscape for futuregenerations to enjoy. We make every effort toreduce our carbon footprintand since 2008 we haveimplemented a self-imposedcarbon tax and donate £10per tonne of carbon that weuse operating our tours toenvironmental and charitablecauses. Since 2008 we havetaxed ourselves £52,867 todonate to various charitiesincluding Trees for Life, TheNational Trust for Scotlandand Moor Trees in Dartmoor. In 2015 we donated £8,558worth of tours for fundraisingto various charitableorganisations includingTeenage Cancer Trust,Cyrenians, Guide DogsScotland & British Red Cross.
