6Appointments To make or cancel an appointment with a subject tutor please stop at the front desk or call (561) 868-3799 Appointments are 30 minutes, except Programming and Networking which are 60 minutes You will need to check in (at the front desk) at your appointment time

If that doesnt work
Saving your Work All work must be saved on a Flash Drive or uploaded to email/cloud storage For example, SkyDrive or Dropbox. Remember, it is important to save your file(s) periodically while you are working! Flash Drives and other USB devices are permitted as long as installation is not required Remember to take your Flash Drive with you!
Flash/USB/Jump drive
Dont Lose Your Work!!! Deep Freeze software starts deleting information automatically once the computer is shut down or there is a power outage Anything you save as a student on the hard drive will be deleted
Save yourwork often!
Scanners Scanners are available at the multimedia station, located on the North side of the room
Students need to ask permission before using a multimedia computer
Course Specific Software Several computers have course specific software- students needing to use them have priority 2 iMacs are available on the North side of the room Please be respectful of those needing to use them for coursework
Laptops Access wireless internet (PAW) Laptops should be on battery power
High Traffic
Students working on academics have first priority
During times of high traffic those students on Facebook, YouTube or checking Email will be the first one asked to give up their computer
Food or Drinks areNot Allowed
Allowed
Not Allowed Chatting: Instant Messengers that require installation are not allowed However you may use a web based instant messenger if the computer lab is not busy and there is a sufficient number of computers available for other students with school work
Pornography is not allowed
Not Allowed File Sharing programs such as BitTorrent, Morpheus, and LimeWire are not to be used in the lab Software installation is not allowed, even if it comes with the textbook
Not Allowed Children and minors are not allowed in the SLC Computer Lab. Dual enrollment students who are under 18 are an exception
Turn off Cell Phones Cell Phones are to be turned off or put on silent mode
Please take it outside! Making or answering calls is not permitted inside the Lab
