Newcastle Suzuki Violin Studio would like to welcome Skye Harrison who will be teaching in 2019 in our Studio. Newcastle Suzuki Studio is growing each year and we are so delighted for Skye to be joining our Studio to help expand and develop our students. Skye will be attending our last few group lessons to meet all our Newcastle Suzuki Families. Bio: Skye Harrison is an accomplished musician and passionate violin teacher. Having received the Pauline Snow Scholarship For Strings and graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Classical Violin Performance) in 2013, she has since broadened her musical involvement into the contemporary music scene. Her background in Suzuki and AMEB violin has equipped her with an extensive teaching skill set, which includes a decade of tutoring experience. In classical music, Skye has been awarded the Valma Barker Memorial Prize and performed first violin in a working string quartet. More recently she has been an active musician in Newcastle’s contemporary scene, playing in various bands and genres, from indie folk to Afro fusion. Skye is dedicated to growing a deep passion for music in her pupils.
