SKY  ARTS  STING  2013  PROPOSAL    Name:  Abdul  Bari  ID:  3129333  Date:  15/03/2013    For  the  Sky  Arts  Sting  project  I  have  decided  to  create  the  sting  for  Sky  Arts  1.    Within  the  brief  given  by  Sky  Arts  it  is  mentioned  the  audience  of  Sky  Arts  2  are  of  the  age  group  55+,  and  prefer  classical  and  fine  arts.  They  are  art  enthusiasts  and  love  multiple  arts  genre.  Sky  arts  2  also  take  the  viewers  behind  the  scenes  of  art.    I  have  decided  to  incorporate  a  ‘behind  the  scene’  feeling  within  my  sting  because  it  is  what  the  channel  offers  to  its  viewers.  To  make  this  happen  I  will  use  each  letter,  which  forms  the  logo,  and  rotate  them  to  show  pieces  of  classical  art  that  is  related  to  the  channel.  For  example  the  letter  ‘A’  in  the  logo  will  revolve  in  a  circle  motion  and  in  its  place  will  appear  a  Ballerina  to  represent  ballet.  (The  Ballerina  is  just  an  example  as  I  am  still  thinking  about  which  art  pieces  that  are  shown  within  Sky  Arts  2  I  should  associate  with  each  letter.)    

 I  am  aiming  to  use  four  distinctive  pieces  of  art  from  Sky  Arts  2  channel  for  this  idea,  and  want  to  make  sure  the  four  pieces  of  art  represent  four  aspects  of  the  channel  and  also  want  to  make  sure  that  they  complement  each  other.  After  all  four  letters  transform  into  objects  of  art  I  would  like  to  use  them  to  create  a  collaborative  performance.  For  example  if  I  decided  to  use  a  Ballerina,  a  pianist,  a  painter  and  a  opera  singer,  I  would  let  the  pianist  play  the  background  music  while  the  opera  singer  sings  along  too,  meanwhile  the  ballet  performers  dance  and  the  painter  paints  them  all.  After  12  seconds  of  the  footage  all  objects  will  then  recreate  into  the  Sky  Arts  Logo  and  then  the  logo  will  be  visible  for  a  further  two  seconds,  to  regulate  with  the  terms  and  conditions  of  this  project.  After  14  seconds  the  logo  will  again  change  into  art  objects  but  all  at  once  and  will  carryout  the  remainder  of  their  performance.    The  above  idea  is  all  I  have  at  present  and  I  will  be  adding  more  components  to  the  sting  to  improve  the  representation  of  the  channel.  I  would  also  like  to  include  the  different  genres  the  channel  offers  into  the  project  but  I  have  yet  to  decide  how  to  and  which  in  which  form  would  be  the  most  effective.
