INTRODUCTION

• As we all know hospitals are important in each and every city and in city like gurugram, where there is rapid traffic roads, there are most probably chances of road accidents.•These days gurugram has increasingly been a popular destination for medical tourism, so it’s important to have multi- specialty in cities like gurugram.•Population of gurugram is relatively high (approx. 9 lakh), so, need for hospital also increases.•Sports has always been a culture in gurugram, so there will be chances of injuries. •Crime graph is also high in gurugram, thus medical emergency should be available accordingly.

ANALYSIS OF SITE 10M wide road running at the

rear side of the site along with trees with its boundary. The condition of roads around the site was good .

Transformer is located at the west corner of the site

The topography of the site is plain with no undulations in it.

There are few trees within the site, that needs to be cut down for construction purpose.

SOUTH WEST WIND- south west wind blows during summers and contains high moisture. Trees should be planted on this side to reduce thhe effect on inhabitant

East- shading devices needed on building to reduce the glare into structure. Sun light brings smoothing role of warmth.

North east wind- north east wind blows during winters and contains little moisture. Trees should be planted on this side to reduce the effect on inhabitants

West- shading devices need on opening of building to reduce the glare into structure. Sun light brings smoothing role of warmth.

CLIMATE

RAINFALL

The season experiences heat indices easily braking 43°C (109°F). Winters are cold and foggy with few sunny days, and with a December daytime average of 3°C (37°F). The western disturbance brings some rain in winters that further adds to the chill. Spring and autumn are mild and pleasant seasons with low humidity. The monsoon season usually starts in the first week of July and continues till august.

• The rainfall in the district increases from the west towards the east. About 77% of the annualrainfall in the district is received during the south west monsoon ‐months.

TYPOLOGY•The TOPOGRAPHY of the site is fully plain areas with no undulations.•The site boundary is surrounded by barbered wire and plenty of trees.

VEGETATIONThe site is surrounded by neem, banyan, Ashoka, and few other trees at its boundary, and some of it present in middle of the site. Most of the trees should remain at its place, as they are good for environment and they aid moisture. the trees will also provide a healing environment to the patients the unwanted trees could be removed from the site.

SOIL CONDITION The soil present on the site is LOAMY SAND SOIL. Loamy sand soil covers almost 82% of the land in gurugram.

AMENITIESWATER SUPPLY- There are 3 tube wells, 2 boosters and 1 pumping station in the sector. HUDA is responsible for supplying water in the sector.TRANSPORTATION - One can easily get public transport from bus stand, HUDA city centre and IFFCO chowk that will lead directly to edge of the site.ELECTRICITY- There are electric poles running through perimeter of the site. Two transformers are present at the East and West corner of the site. Electricity in gurugram is provided by government owned Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam.SEWAGE- The sewage water from the area gets into Najafgarh drain along with rain water through one of the HUDA drains

WEAKNESS

•The site is surrounded by road from its four side.•Proper distribution of water pipelines and electrical line in the area.•Public transport easily available.•Since no. other govt. multi- specialty hospital in the respective sectors. So it will be helpful.

•The site is surrounded by private residences.•The site is not clean, and cattle residing at the site.

SWOT ANALYSISOPPORTUNITY

THREAT

•It will provide job opportunity to the unemployed.•Proper supply of water, electricity and sewage system in the area.•The site is easily accessible by vehicles and public transport that will not create problem in approaching to the site.• The project will provide better care facilities at low price that will be affordable foe lower section of the society.

•Hospital may affect the ambience of the area due to being surrounded by residential.•Present condition of the site is not healthy due to residence of cattles and garbage at the site.
