The purpose of the promotion was to increase hotel room business in Sioux Falls from December 1, 2011 through March 31, 2012. Response to the promotion has been overwhelming. The promotion was limited to the first 500 people who met the eligibility guidelines. Due to the overwhelming response, the CVB increased the promotion to 1000 cards. Those additional cards were gone by last Monday, January 30, 2012. No further advertising of the promotion will run. The official rules including all terms and conditions that apply have been posted on the CVB’s website, VisitSiouxFalls.com\Free25, since the promotion began on December 1, 2011. The CVB would like to thank all the visitors who participated in the promotion. “We are very pleased with the number of people interested in the promotion and feel badly that so many visitors had to be turned away. We doubled the number of cards we budgeted for and just couldn’t go over budget any further. We’re sorry for those who didn’t read the terms and conditions on the website to see that we had a limited number of cards to give out”, said Teri Ellis Schmidt, Executive Director of the CVB. ### Mission: To market the City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as a one-of-a-kind visitor destination, and to provide premier visitor services, by attracting conventions, meetings, sports, events, leisure and business travelers to Sioux Falls in the most economic and efficient manner possible in order to positively impact the local economy.
