Limitations•The major limitation faced during the study was the lack of time by manufactures to fill the questionnaires.•The project required to be complete during short time of span of two month that did not allow justifying of the study .•Another limitation was some manufacturers were not ready to disclose the information about their company.

SUGGESTIONThe following conclusions have been derived on the basis of the objectives and analysis of the study.•Analyses have revealed that if company has to increase its market share in rural area it has to concentrate on small size of the capacity like 500Ltrs,1000Ltrs. So that it can easily increase its market share in rural area.•Company have to do water tank awareness in rural area .So that people can aware the benefit of the water tanks .•Company has to build strong distributor network in certain rural area .•Influencers are the key factor so that company has to communicate about its strength with distributors and retailers
