1. What is Singtel 5G NOW Market Trial?

Singtel 5G is the fastest 5G network in Singapore. Experience ultra-fast

speeds, ultra-low latency and better bandwidth. Try it now on our Singtel 5G

NOW Market Trial.

Singtel 5G NOW Market Trial will end on 28 February 2021.

2. Am I still eligible for the 3 FREE months Singtel 5G NOW Market Trial if I sign up now?

We have crossed 20,000 sign-ups and our 3 FREE months Singtel 5G NOW Market Trial is fully redeemed. However, customers can still join our 5G NOW market trial by enjoying our Singtel 5G NOW 10GB Add-on!

3. What is Singtel 5G NOW 10GB Add-on and how can I enjoy 5G?

Singtel 5G NOW 10GB Add-On is a data add-on that comes with 10GB of local

data with free 5G market trial access.

Customers who signed up/recontracted on Combo or XO with 5G mobile

plans on a 5G handset before 9 January 2021 will be able to enjoy an

additional 10GB of data (12-month term) and free 5G NOW market trial access,

at a promotional price of $10/month.

From 9 January 2021, customers who sign up/recontract on Combo or XO

with 5G mobile plans on a 5G handset will be able to enjoy an additional 10GB

of data (12-month term) and free 5G NOW market trial access at $15/month.

Singtel 5G NOW Market Trial will end on 28 February 2021.

Yes, we will only be extending our trial to users who have purchased any of our

5G compatible handsets from us.

5. What can I use the FREE additional 10GB of local data for?

You can enjoy the FREE additional 10GB of local data across both our 5G and

4G network. This 10GB local data will be added on top of your existing data

bundle. You can view this additional data bundle on My Singtel app.

6. Why do some 5G devices have a Singtel 5G coin labelled while some don’t?

The Singtel 5G coin is awarded to a 5G devices that is certified to work with our

5G network.

We are currently working with phone manufacturers to ensure all 5G devices

will eventually be able to run smoothly on our entire 5G network. Do keep a

look out as we will constantly award phones with the Singtel 5G coins.

7. Where can I use Singtel 5G service?

Our 5G network covers the whole of Central Business District including areas

such as Orchard, Somerset, Tanjong Pagar, Harbourfront and more, where our

customers use their data services frequently.

8. How do I check if I have been provisioned 5G service?

You can check if “5G NOW Service” is available under the VAS section of My

Singtel App.

9. How do I know if 5G is active on my device?

You should be able to see a 5G icon on your 5G compatible device when you are within a 5G covered area.

10. What should I do if I am in a 5G coverage area but do not see 5G icon on my 5G device?

Please ensure that your 5G setting is turned on. Kindly refer to the Device

section of the FAQ on how to turn on 5G on your handset.

If you are still unable to enjoy 5G, please leave a feedback here and let us know the location that you are having trouble connecting with our 5G service.

11. If I am not in the 5G network area, what will happen?

You will continue to enjoy undisrupted 4G connectivity on our Singtel network.

12. What technology does Singtel 5G use?

Singtel 5G is running on a 5G non-standalone (NSA) network using both the

2.1GHz and 3.5GHz spectrum.

3.5GHz spectrum should provide higher theoretical speeds compared to the

2.1GHz spectrum.

5G NSA network utilises existing mobile broadband bringing you ultra-fast speeds, ultra-low latency, and higher data-bandwidth so you can enjoy quick, reliable internet connectivity.

13. What is the Singtel 5G speed range?

Speed is always an important consideration. At Singtel, we constantly strive to

optimise our network so you can enjoy the best speeds.

Our 5G network speeds can be found in the table below.

Theoretical >1Gbps

Typical Downlink 200Mbps – >1Gbps

Typical Uplink 35 – 90 Mbps Speeds may vary depending on devices, population density, and other environmental factors. Speeds may also

be affected when indoor or when underground.

14. What will happen to my 4G network? Can I still enjoy 4G?

Yes, our 4G network will still be available for our customers.

Rest assured that our 4G network will not be impacted by our 5G rollout.

15. What is Apple Bundle and how can I enjoy it?

Customers who sign up/recontract on Singtel Combo and XO mobile plans with

iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be

eligible to enjoy Apple Bundle when they add 5G NOW 10GB Add-On.

From 9 January 2021, customers who sign up/recontract on Singtel Combo

and XO mobile plans with iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and

iPhone 12 Pro Max will be eligible to enjoy Apple Bundle when they add 5G

NOW 10GB Add-On at S$15 per month (12-month term).

Customers will enjoy the following benefits:

• 10GB local data (12-month term)

• 5G market trial access1

• 12 free months Apple iCloud (Worth $15) 2

• 9 free months Apple Arcade (Worth $62) 3

16. Can I opt out of 5G NOW 10GB on Combo/XO plan?

The 5G NOW add-on is designed to optimize your experience on the 5G

iPhone. Without it, you will not get the full benefit of your new iPhone. The

whole value of the 5G NOW is worth $40.14/month. But for just $15/month, you

can now get 10GB of additional data and 12 FREE months Apple iCloud, 9

FREE months Apple Arcade and 12 FREE months Apple TV+.

For Android 5G devices, you will be able to enjoy 10GB of additional data and

free 5G access at just $15/month.

Singtel 5G NOW Free Market Trial (First 20k)

1. When will my 3 FREE months Singtel 5G NOW Market Trial be active?

Customers with Huawei P40 Pro 5G, Huawei P40 Pro+ 5G, Samsung Galaxy

S20 Ultra 5G, Vivo X50 Pro 5G, Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G, Samsung Galaxy

Note20 Ultra 5G or Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G

Customers who recontract or signed up on our Combo/XO mobile plans with any of these 5G from us will be progressively given 3 FREE months trial of 5G NOW and additional 10GB of local data for 3 months. You will receive an SMS when your 5G service and 10GB of local data is provisioned.

2. What happens when my 3 FREE months Singtel 5G NOW Market Trial

service ends?

You will receive an SMS prior to the end of your 3 months trial of 5G NOW to

notify you that your 5G trial service will be ending. After your 5G trial ends, you

will be reverted to our 4G service.

The additional 10GB of local data will be dropped and you will revert to your

original data bundle.

service launch.

Market Trial?

We have worked with Samsung to optimise their software for our 5G network.

Customer who purchased Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G, Samsung Galaxy

Note20 Ultra 5G or Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G from us will be eligible for

Singtel 5G NOW Market Trial.

Please refer to the instructions above on how to update your Samsung software and turn on 5G on your compatible Samsung devices.

7. If I bought a 5G handset with Singtel, will I be able to use it when I go

overseas? What do I need to do?

This depends on overseas network and spectrum compatibility. For instance, if

the overseas network supports 2.1GHz and 3.5GHz spectrum, like Singapore,

the same handset can be used. Look out for our updated ReadyRoam plans

with 5G-compatible countries in future.
