Sloane FC welcome Singh Sabha Slough to Hackney Marshes Centre.

If this match was in the Barclays Premier League it would be dubbed as the match for a European spot, a £25 million game... unfortunately it isn’t. However it is a match to secure 5th place for the victor. Sloane can open up a 5pt margin against S.S.S.F.C if they continue their winning form, now 3 in 3 and 8 games unbeaten.

S.S.S.F.C however are also in good form unbeaten in their last 4 matches, winning 3 of them. A draw against Hounslow Wanderers last week meant the side slipped to 6th in the table.

Of course Sloane and S.S.S.F.C have met already this season at Eton Wick FC where the now famous “Sloane 8©”

found themselves starting 3 men down against a full S.S.S.F.C. Sloane were down to 8 due to sat-nav issues in the space shuttle and family problems. By half time Sloane were back to 11 and were 1-0 up! It was a penalty given away in the 2nd half that levelled the game. Both teams felt hard done by on the day, with S.S.S.F.C having a man sent off for an inaccurate dissent decision and Sloane feeling they could have got

something out of the game. That was on 10th December and Sloane didnt play again until 14th January 2012. Not the greatest end to 2011.

As i have already mentioned today will be a tight game between two sides who want to finish in the top 3 this season. Sloane do have the upper hand over the past 3 years having only lost once, and recording their highest goal tally with a 7-0 home victory back in 2009/10 season.

Good luck to both teams and we hope to have a drink in the new bar afterwards.

Sloane FC was established in 2007, and now in their 5th season the club has ambitions for promotion to Step 6 and silverware in the cabinet. Sloane 1sts play in the Middlesex County Football League Premier Division. Sloane Reserves play in the MCFL Senior Reserve Division. In their inaugural season (07/08) Sloane reached the semi-final of the London FA Junior Cup and finished 4th in MCFL Division 1 Central & East.

Sloane got promoted in 09/10 to Premier Division and have stayed their ever since. Narrowly surviving on the final day last season. Thanks to the Football Foundation, Sloane introduced a Sunday team for the 10/11 season who did well in their debut season being title contenders up until the final

couple of game. Continuing in the 11/12 season they play in the Central London Sunday Super League Premier Division on Sunday Afternoons.

Sloane also have a Ladies team this season playing the Greater London Women’s League Div 3 North. The club celebrates it’s 5th Anniversary this season with many more social events and fundraising opportunities.

SJS London (Sloane) are the recent winners of the Paddington 6aside Monday night league.

Sloane FC vs Singh Sabbha Slough

Middlesex County Football League Premier Division updated 29.02.12

THERE were really were two Crisp finishes from Sloane’s striker, first name Reece – but his manager reckoned the forward might have bagged a couple more on top.

In fact, Steve Pigott described Saturday’s win as a mixture of ‘no individual stars but luck and a lot of hard work’ on the 5G surface in Waltham Forest. And the dice turned up three points nevertheless to keep the Chelsea boys unbeaten since November and up to fourth in the table.

Spingfield squandered a pile of first-half chances from set pieces and corners that kept keeper Albert McCausland busy, but his sheet pristine.

When a poor piece of Springfield control had Nick Biela scrapping for the loose ball, Samir Aalit picked up the pieces and crossed beyond the keeper where Crisp was lurking to administer the final touch.

In the second half, Aalit’s pace again untied the Springfield left back, and again found Crisp who

took a steadying touch before lashing into the net.

The win was done and dusted when the demoralised shot stopper dropped a Crisp free-kick at the feet of Ramin Jarvand, needed no second invitation to thrash it back into the unguarded net.
