The Singapore Biennale 2016 Symposium takes a critical look at the role, relevance and potentialities of the biennale as concept and format, particularly for and from the context of Singapore, in relationto Southeast Asia and Asia.
The Symposium features presentations by and conversations with biennale directors, curators, artists and scholars, including Associate Professor Anthony Gardner, Professor Emeritus John Clark, Jitish Kallat, Kok Heng Leun, MAP Office and Ade Darmawan.
Convened by Dr Hoe Su Fern, Assistant Professor of Arts and Culture Management from the School of Social Sciences at Singapore Management University, in partnership with Singapore Art Museum, together with the collaboration of Goethe-Institut Singapore.

presents a constellation of artistic perspectives by

Titled An Atlas of Mirrors, the fifth edition of the
Singapore Biennale brings together the atlas and

The Singapore Biennale 2016 Symposium takes a critical look at the role, relevance and potentialities of the biennale as concept and format, particularly for and from the context of Singapore, in relationto Southeast Asia and Asia.
The Symposium features presentations by and conversations with biennale directors, curators, artists and scholars, including Associate Professor Anthony Gardner, Professor Emeritus John Clark, Jitish Kallat, Kok Heng Leun, MAP Office and Ade Darmawan.

The Singapore Biennale 2016 Symposium takes a critical look at the role, relevance and potentialities of the biennale as concept and format, particularly for and from the context of Singapore, in relationto Southeast Asia and Asia.
The Symposium features presentations by and conversations with biennale directors, curators, artists and scholars, including Associate Professor Anthony Gardner, Professor Emeritus John Clark, Jitish Kallat, Kok Heng Leun, MAP Office and Ade Darmawan.
Convened by Dr Hoe Su Fern, Assistant Professor of Arts and Culture Management from the School of Social Sciences at Singapore Management University, in partnership with Singapore Art Museum, together with the collaboration of Goethe-Institut Singapore.
