Obv. English shield within laurel and palm branch, legends in English THE COMMONWEALTH. OF. ENGLAND. mm Sun.Rev. English and Irish shields value XX above beaded circle vand legend surrounding date at top, GOD. WITH. VS.

A neat round coin having a most splendid golden orange toning. Extremely Fine and Rare.

Price £17,375.

Comes with an old Baldwin ticket bought for Four Ponds and 4 Shillings 27/6/1930.

Scotland Charles I Gold Unit or Sceptre piece. Third Coinage Briot issue 1637-1642. S5531. mm Thistle and B on Obv.

Machine made using a mill and screw press resulting in a magnificent issue of the highest quality and workmanship and possible one of the finest Scottish coins. Superb in style with an intricate portrait of the King in his armour carrying his orband sceptre.

A handsome coin having most attractive orange red toning. Extremely Fine or better and Rare.Price £13,775.

Ex W. H. Tapp collection bought Seaby 1948 and comes with this ticket and originally priced at GBP 17 and Shillings 10.

Edward IV Ryal or rose noble, light coinage, 1464-70, London, m.m. large sun mint mark with long, sharp and wavy rays.

King, crowned, standing facing in ship holding sword and shield, flag with letter E to left, rose below on ships hull, pellet stops, rev. rose over a radiate sun over royal cross, crowned leopards in angles, large fleurs in spandrels, trefoil stops.(N.1549, S.1950)

Obv. legend starts at 3 o’clock. The double sized representation of the sun was previously unrecorded until the discovery of this coin, therefore this is so far unique and excessively rare.

Not represented in Schneider.

A quality early cast 43 mm Extremely Fine and most attractively toned. A splendid piece.Price £4,250

William III Silver Crown 1696 OCTAVO S3470 1st Bust. with Edge error.

Obv Draped laureate bust right. Rev. Crowned shield of arms. Edge error which reads DECVS IMEN TAMEN ANNO REGNI OCTAVO in raised letters , with cross crosslet stops. Should read DECVS ET TVTAMEN ANNO REGNI OCTAVO.

A most handsome coin having proof like fields and mint bloom and about As Struck. Free of adjustment marks and with minor flecking which does not detract.

Very Rare thus with the edge error not listed in the Old or New ESC.Price £4,750

George II Lima Crown 1746 Edge D, NONO S3689.

ESC 125 New ESC 1668.Old Laureate bust 1, Rev. crowned cruciform shields.

Most attractively toned over underlying lustre with great eye appeal and choice. Virtually as struck having a few light bag marks and a slight edge nick or collar flaw on the rev. near the Irish shield.

About As Struck and Rare.

One of the finest known virtually mint and with most attractive toning.

George V Silver Proof Crown 1935 edge raised ESC 3655 S4050 The Rocking Horse Crown.

A gem of a coin superbly toned and mint state. Currently slabbed by NGC PR65 and rare only 2500 struck.

George VI Silver Crown 1937 Coronation Commemorative Frosted VIP Proof Crown S4079 FDC/PR65 Cam and R5.More heavily frosted detail especially on the Rev. Obv. portrait of the King left by H Paget. Rev. Royal coat of arms with supporters.

Mint state and Extremely Rare and probably one of the finest known. Ref Old ESC 393A New ESC4022,Special Proof with only 6 struck so R5 and struck in pure Silver instead of the normal 50% silver content.

Attractively toned and Good Very Fine with a good provenance.

Charles I, Chester mint, Halfcrown, 14.49g., king in armour holding sword upright, on horse with straight tail walking left, no marks in field, rev. crowned oval shield with lion-skin garniture, double pellet stops, three pellets after REX, m.m. cinquefoil on reverse only (JGB 1115 (this coin) N.2628 S.3131).

A handsome example, a small flan flaw and scratch on reverse, otherwise on an unusually full oval flan, with an excellent portrait of the king.

Good Very Fine, very rare with a splendid provenance.

Attractively toned and with a fabulous portrait of the King. Some weakness in the legends but overall a well struck piece. Near Extremely fine and Rare.

Obv. crowned bust left with mark of value behind bus, mm daisy with small B lower left. Rev. long cross fourchee over square topped quartered shield of arms.

Attractive toning and free of adjustment marks on both sides. A slight flan shear at 9 o'clock done at the mint to adjust weight. A Bold VF with the rev better.
